Actually, I'm trying to get people to change their sigs.

With the removal of the old Character sigs, most people have broken code in their sigs, which looks really bad. So I rewrote the code to display that text in hot pink. I figured what's the fastest way to get people to change their sigs and make it really obvious?

1 -Make it anything "pro" me.
2- Make it hot pink
3- Make it a Back to the Future quote so people with a sense of humor would get the joke.

Actually we took a vote in the office and that was one of the options. "Founding Member: Sapience Fan Club and Adoration Society" was the other.

The Back to the future quote won out with the link to vote because we figured it would make specific people mad enough to change it immediately, and the rest would either just think it was weird and change it or would think it was funny (because they got the joke) and either leave it alone or get a smile out of it and change it.


And based on PMs and forum posts, it's breaking right along the lines we expected. Hate to say it guys, but you're all horribly predictable.

It seems to me a dishonest attempt to promote your spot on the dragonslayer awards, whilst saying it's a "joke"

You could have easily gone for "My signature is boring and needs changing" and add some helpful link on how to accomplish this. But the path you chose makes you look bad in my book, as well as whatever other people you are claiming supported this lame idea.

Well if you really want to vote, please go right ahead. Though I'm much more interested in seeing the Community repeat this year as most passionate and seeing either Dragonfly or The Lonely Mountain Band win for best Guild (Both great LOTRO Kinships).

It would seem he does not believe that taking player opinions seriously is important, and believes that placing words on people's mouths via their signature as a "joke" is acceptable in his position. I would agree that Lotro has the most passionate player base around! That's why there are thousands of post about what is happening to this game and how people are begging for you to fix it!
