So Turbine, do you have an exact time or very very precise time as to when we can log back in for HD? The "soon" that lasted quite a bit wasn't fun but i appreciate the time before HD downtime

They announced on FB a bit ago they have delayed HD for a time being (hopefully not more then a day) and will resume normal operations till the problem is solved. So atm not sure when the servers will be back.

Yes I've been reading everything an admin/GM etc has said on forums related to HD and twitter, just not FB. So far nobody has said anything about when we can log into HD

Even if they wanted and didn't have to deal with the fallout of a power outage, it's impossible to give a specific time when HD will actually be available for playing. There are always unforseen events happening on such rollouts.

Anyway. As others have already said, the power was knocked out at their data center for several hours. They are still making sure that it won't explode if they blink at it cross-eyed, probably. So I think we can be a bit forgiving if they don't want to dump an update down its throat just yet. It might choke, and while I'm not sure if the Heimlich Maneuver is applicable to game servers, but the aftermath of it probably wouldn't be very pretty. There'd be 0s and 1s all over the floor, and everything.

Yes, the game itself IS back up, but there have been trickles of trouble on a few servers that they had to iron out.

Comments on their latest twitter feed update seem to point toward Wednesday this week.

According to what I've seen on facebook and here posted by Sapience - HD should launch on Wednesday 11.20. The 100% XP and Bounder tokens has been extended until the 20th as well. There are still some stability issues with the servers after the power failure yesterday (servers don't like having their plug pulled) so the Turbine folks will need some time to address any data loss, lost connections, etc that occurred before rolling out a huge update.

So hopefully Wednesday!

Its this kind of evasive answer, with a failed attempt at humour, that has contributed to disincentvising me from paying money for HD.

Now, if things had gone according to plan HD should be live by now.

That means the Patch Notes MUST be ready and Turbine MUST know how big the download is and they MUST also know what the new Minimum Specs are.

All of this information should now be in the public domain, in an Announcement.
