Can't Login certain Char

Just wondering if anybody else is having problems logging in certain toons? my dwarf passed into a wormhole leavin Thorin's Hall and gets stuck at "loading" him into game world. I play on Dwarrowdelf server

This is a known problem atm..... I have 12 toons and can log on only 1 of them.

The only one I know I can't log into is the one I was online with when the servers crashed, all the others I've tried so far have worked fine. Other people in my kin have not been so lucky and are getting regular crashes and disconnects as well as multiple characters not loading.

Having similar issue with my all my toons on riddermark, some I can't log in at all, and those i can crash within minutes.

I am having the same problem, logging in, except I can't login with any of my 7 toons. Yet my wife, sitting next to me on same network, is working OK.

Whatcha talking about? Haven't heard? All servers are up and everything is a-ok! Your +100XP experience boost check is in the mail.... those persistent disconnects are as planned by god... lol

Ah, thought it was something on my end. But yeah, just trying again now(Riddermark) and still not working on my alts.
Very unfortunate too as I wanted to buy XP pocket-thingies for a couple.

Well, I really hope that crash didn´t kill some of them off for good.

I'm having the same problem on Landoval.

I can log into every character but my Hobbit Minstrel, who just so happens to be the one I *want* to play.

EDIT: He was the one I was on when the servers went down today.

I can't log into my 2 characters that are in Bree. Riddermark server. Now that all the servers are up and everything is apparently "fixed" I would try seeing if an alt can go to Bree and maybe once its loaded my 2 stuck ones would be ok, but I'm afraid of losing access to yet another character. Does anyone know if this is being looked into?

I now have 3 characters I can't log into. It seems that if you do anything that causes a loading screen to come up (swift travel route, entering an instance), you risk having your character sent into limbo.

Wanted to see if the rumor was true about 'hunters' and traveling to Bree... couldn't test the rumor since I wasn't allowed to even log in after 4 tries... Logged right in on my Mini.... go figure.

Good question, for now I´m calling it a day. Hoping tomorrow will bring more fixes.

Also it would be good to know if we should just wait or submit bugs on the stuck characters.

Below is how I fixed the same issue that I had on my characters on Meneldor. Sorry for the copy and paste, I just want to get people in and playing again.

I had a similar issue and after a bit of Googling, here is how I fixed it:

To fix it, I flushed the DNS cache and things started working again.

Press Windows + R then type "cmd" and hit enter. Then in the cmd.exe (black box) window type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter.

I don't know if the IP address of some of the area servers have changed or what happened but this finally got me past the "Loading" screen freeze and also fixed the issue where I would have to log out then back in every single time I switched a zone.

My Hunter did a return to Rivendell with no problems. Tried a Return to Bree and now she is lost with my other 2. It does seem to be related to Bree on Riddermark server.

Same here 2 of my lvl 85 chars end up with sever lost when I try to load them from the char screen.
Sometime that locks my computer up and have to shut it off and start again.

I have found that if you take one of you low lvl chars like a 10 or 20 and load it then logoff an then load your high lvl char.

Worked for me. I hope it does for you.

Below is how I fixed the same issue that I had on my characters on Meneldor. Sorry for the copy and paste, I just want to get people in and playing again.

This seems to only be a temporary fix. After flushing my dns cache, I was able to log into a character I was previously unable to, but after taking a swift travel route, the same thing happened again. It does seem to point to server IP addresses being in flux and/or invalid DNS entries somewhere.

Flushing the dns and logging into a character not in Bree first and then switching did not work for me. Still seems like a Bree specific problem for my 2 accounts on Riddermark.

I too have been unable to enter the Riddermark server on any of my toons so far. I noticed many respondents where on the same server as me-perhaps this is a Riddermark issue?

Its not just Bree. My character is in Michel Delving (Landroval server) and I cannot log onto him at all.

I forgot to post that I am on the Meneldor server so if a specific server is having further issues, flushing the DNS cache won't fix it.
It does sound like you guys(and/or gals) have some of the issues narrowed down to the Riddermark server.
Best of luck to you on finding a work around for the ssues and hopefully Turbine has an official word soon.

yeah things have been spotty all day. I got on this morning before 6am Woke up and thought i'd see if I could get on and do the bounder thing before the 6 am patch. Could not log on a couple toons. Persistently - but could log on the rest. Then pretty much at 6 all four accounts got disconnected. I thought the patch was in the works. But later I saw posts saying the servers where now up?? But I could not believe the patch was done that quickly. Was like 8 am. But I tried logging on one of the toons that had not been able to earlier and he got on no problem.

Turned in some tokens then logged to riddlemark or what ever it is called to farm TP. No sense trying to play my mains on brandy. Logged onto all four no problem beeboppin around and bam! All four went LD at same time running in place until the "you have been disconnected msg. Did some other things for a few others checked to see if patch was patching but... no that seems to be put off at least for today. Logged on and none of the four accounts could actually load a toon. Though all for connected right off the loading screen timed out for all four. Read the forums for a few minutes then tried again and all four got on. Managed to get them from 10 to 13 and now all LD again. Time to go bake a pie. I'll try later.

But don't worry. It is happening to everyone and it seems so far to just be temporary no permanent damage to the toons.
