    Healing Line

I specialized into the Captain's new healing line.

I have to say that I really like it. The pace of combat is improved, and so far it feels that I have multiple potential rotations - some more group friend, some more solo mob friendly, et. I also notice that this line leaves the captain with plenty of healing options, individual and for group combat support. Its shaping up to be a powerful armored healer who carries his or her own on live fire damage while healing. Fewer skills, true, (and that does seem like a bit of a relief) but just as versatile for the most part.

Two things I didn't like and recommend future change around (and these are minor) - 1) combining the resurrection skills (do we really need one in combat and out of combat separately?) and 2) repainting the skill buttons to look consistent and fresh. As is they sorta look like a mishmash of art styles added to game over successive periods (with a big update, I hoped for more there).

The rest seem like fun so far. Thanks for the update!

I have to agree. The blue line seems to be the way to go for solo questing and then likely for grouping as well. The yellow line looks promising for tanking as an off spec although I havnt tried it out much at this point. I gave the red line a try for a bit and it just didnt seem to flow. Maybe ill return to it later for another attempt.

I can't way the same for a leveling cappy though. The red line might be best but if youre 85 and already have decent gear, blue is nice.

For my 85 cappy, I went red but splashed into blue far enough to get the Gallant Display skill. I get tons of DPS from the red line and the extra blue traits help with a bit of healing (plus I definitely have no problems filling my rotation, even when I don't need to use extra skills like Words of Courage or other buffs/maintenance stuff).

This would be bad. The in-combat one has a cooldown, and there's no way to remove the cooldown for a skill when out of combat, but leave it when in combat. The extra skill was made so that you can rez people out of combat without having to worry about a cooldown. (A no-cooldown in-combat rez would be incredibly OP.)

Just did my first group with the blue line, and I was the main healer; something I was never comfortable with before. I was pleasantly surprised. Also, it seems you have more attacks in the blue line than in the red line, making the rotation more interesting.

HoH does grant you Gallant Display, which is a pretty fun little skill, on top of Valiant Strike and your normal stuff. I've never been that into the healer style, but the new HoH certainly gives us more tools than we used to have. (The healing Standard in particular is deceptively powerful.)

Question about the mellee healing skills: how does the healing scale? Is it linked to character level, to the attack damage, or does it just scale independently over time? Traiting HoH is working well for me at L59, just want to know whether this is sustainable at higher levels.

Like with tactical damage skills, the base value of healing skills increases with character level and then gets multiplied by your Outgoing Healing. (Actually, weapon-based skills have a base damage value as well, but it's usually small relative to the weapon damage multiplier.)

I played all three lines extensively in the last week. Honestly, they are all great!

I don't like the huge morale cost of the blue capstone and went for some more yellow/red goodness instinctively. Time will tell...

Reform the Lines! will also be giving players (not the Captain) an Incoming Healing buff while the heal-over-time is active. It needed something else.

Good to hear. This will make it a lot more appealing.

I love the Blue line, its crazy OP for the content we have currently, of course alot of stuff is scaled higher in my eyes then it needs to be.

We had a single cappy tank and myself healing last night in BG T2 HM and the first 4 OD wings T2 HM, I know its nothin hard atm and our damage is greatly increased but seeing what we can do currently with what we have is great.

Love blue line but i also love red line in the smaller instances. Going to look forward to doing the HD stuff when the whole kin is ready

    Loving captain atm
