I want to give a gift of TP points

If I make a purchase of TP points in the Lotro Market, will it give me a point code that I can give to the recipient of the gift?
I'd like to know this before I make the purchase.

That is not how the LOTRO Market delivers the items. LOTRO Market (store.lotro.com) will deliver the points straight to your account.

If you're interested in getting codes for friends/family/gifts - then I would suggest visiting: store.turbine.com

Those purchases can deliver code keys.

Is there any way to gift points, from your current TP balance, to another player?

No. TP is tied to your account and cannot be transferred.

    I don't think this works

I went to store.turbine.com. The top of the screen identified itself as the LOTRO Market.
I clicked on Turbine points. I selected one option. At that point, the screen offered a place to click to get "details". I clicked it.
    The description was "Electronic Delivery".
That does not sound like the delivery of a code.

It appears that you can electronically purchase codes for game time but not for Turbine points.
There are stores that sell Turbine point codes but it's hard to find any in stock.
    This is frustrating.

Target used to sell them but no longer does. Gamestop used to sell them but no longer does. Walmart used to sell them but no longer does.

There was a post, somewhere, some time ago, that said that Turbine was consolidating the DDO/LotRO point cards into a single unit. I think I remember that this post was over a year ago? I bounce between living in the UK and the USA so I may be confused about which stores were mentioned.

I'd SO much rather hand some cash to a retailer than type my credit card number into my computer. I wish they'd start back up with the point cards being available.

"Electronic Delivery" in this case means they will email you a code that you must enter into your Turbine account via the MyAccount site. The Turbine Store (http://store.turbine.com) is operated by Digital River, a third-party site, who knows nothing about your Turbine account. Turbine does not share the information with them, and they do not have access to it. As far as Turbine products go, everything purchased through Digital River is an electronic purchase.

This is from the description on one of the TP offers:
This point purchase gives Premium Account status, but can only be redeemed on MyAccount. If you are a free user, please go to myaccount.turbine.com to apply your Turbine Point code.

Note the parts "This point purchase ... can only be redeemed on MyAccount." and "... go to myaccount.turbine.com to apply your Turbine Point code.". It says the same thing for all of the TP offerings. Click on one of the TP heading/title instead of the green "Add to Cart" button to get to the description.

You can also contact Account Management directly for this. See the sticky Gift Giving, Payments on Friends' Accounts and Manual Points Purchases from the Account Support Questions area for details.

I would like this too, but then I fear that lifetime accounts who are dormant will just log in again, sell all their TP for real money, cheaper than in any store, and make a profit... probably why they don't allow it.
