No other MMO works for me as well as this one. The closest second was SWG. I've spent more money on this one than any other. I love this game! I play pretty much every day. Some days more than others.

I love this game OP, have been here since codemasters F2P launch. I still play daily when I got the time. Take breaks sometimes. After that the door to this world is always open.
This was my first real MMO (I don't caunt runescape). I''ve tried SWTOR, guild wars and ESO. None of them have my interest.
People will always come and go. Don't bother with the people saying x amount of kinnies or friends have left the game. If you enjoy it, you should play it.
Those people will be coming back in about 2-3 months after the ESO hype is gone again.

But yes I love this world and I will stay here untill the end.
    Happy to be here :D!

I absolutely love this game. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, and I pretty well agree with almost every complaint I see here in the forums, but I'm always trying out other MMOs, and none of them keep me coming back like this game does.

Same here, SWG was my second favorite, and it was a very close second. RIP SWG, you will be missed.

I love this game. The only other game that I spent any time in was CoH, and it's gone now /rip. LOTRO is perfect for a casual player like me. I have so many project characters right now that I'm having a blast with. I've gotten more levels across my characters in the past few months than I have in a long time, including some that sat in the mid-30s for years, literally. Now they're almost finished with Moria

I still love it. It's the closest I can get to visiting Middle-earth. Now that CoH is gone (*sniffle*), LotRO is my MMO home. I log in regularly, and I still have plenty to do and see. My main is still progressing through the newest epic book questline, and I have tons of alts as well. There is a lot of crafting, deeding, exploring and fluff for me to enjoy yet. I do hop into SWtOR, TSW and Rift from time to time, but this will always be where I come home to roost.

Everyone loves this game!(Exceptions dont take offense) I love it too. But it doesn't mean some of us are highly disturbed by the recent changes.

I still love it i just don't play as much as i used to.

Greetings, in answer to this question I have to say.. I totally LOVE this game and nearly everything about it.
This truly is something you get out of it, as much as you can absorb , at a given time.

There is no other MMO I know of that is even close to being as deep, beautiful and even spiritual in so many aspects.
I suspect some of the players here don't recognize or understand a lot of the symbology everywhere, Celtic especially, and the very planned natural vistas that resonate energy that is both delightful and inspiring at many levels.
LOTRO is a work of art simply put.

I come here near daily and when I can't, I get restless.... LOL

A fitting tribute to the genius of Tolkien, thanks to all the great souls that made this happen.

    Vilagos .. and etc alts

    Let me count the ways.

I love it because it's The Lord of the Rings.

I love it because it's Turbine.

I love it because the world's graphics are so beautiful
(excluding, of course, places like Angmar and Isengard
that are supposed to be ugly.)

And recently, I love it afresh because my lower-level
characters can now s-l-o-w-l-y gain levels from crafting.

I was in Skoiruzg putting a beating on a Morroval deed and there was one Slinger all by herself off on a corner. I couldn't kill her. She was asleep, I didn't want to wake her up.

I wouldn't take the time to notice something like that or to even react to it in any other game.

If I could marry it, I would

I'm just so negative in my posts because I highly dislike the path where it is going: trait-trees abomination, BB implementation, my class(-es) being badly crippled, to name a few.

Love towards this game, the lore, the world, the people in it is what's still keeping me playing it.
And masochism, when I see what they did to my class(-es).

I love this game! I've been here since just about the beginning. I'm retired and spend a lot of time logged in. My kinship is like my family and that's the way we all view it "our Middle-earth family". Sometimes we just get together to play music. I will also take the time to just ride through areas I haven't been in quite a while, it's amazing the number of things you find that you didn't see before. Enjoy the grandeur of "our" Middle-earth.

    Great adventures to you all!

It is one of my favourite games of all time! I try to play everyday if I can.

I've tried all the new games coming out. They have been uninstalled from my computer and rightfully so.

They all suck compared to this game. ESO is epic fail as well....the supposed newest and bestest WoW and Lotro killer....YAWN!

    /Cheers Lotro

So much I am concerned that playing LoTRO while eating bacon has caused me to miss more than a few Kevin Bacon movies. :/

There are no boars in Evendim, yet all the Tomb Robbers drop bacon. I think the mystery of the missing boars is finally solved!

Is it lore-breaking to play LOTRO while eating a bacon and tomato sandwich? Since there are no tomatoes in Middle-Earth?

Only if you know WHY. There was actually a controversy over this during an expansion pack.

At a guess, tomatoes come from the Americas, while Arda is based on the Old World, which is to say Eurasia and Northern Africa. While this is technically true of tobacco as well, it's not necessarily the case that pipe-weed is actually tobacco. (Heavily implied, of course, but not explicitly stated so far as I know.)
