April Fools day has come and gone again, and still no chickens everywhere, or in the moors, or wherever they were.

Any chance a they will ever come back as a special event.

I think I was on 11pm pacific time, and saw it for a brief time, and I know it crashed all the servers within 3 hours and was taken down, but maybe they could handle it now.

So any chance of chickens in the moors ever again on April Fools Day?

I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed it won't happen again unless they can figure out a way to not crash the servers.

I know there are days when I mess up calculating time for different countries, but even the world clock website can't tell me where 456 timezones away would be.

I would not mind seeing the event again since I, too, missed it. I'm not sure the assumption the servers can handle more now than they could then is valid, though. I'm not even sure why it caused so many issues.

Seriously, there are no plans to bring this back. It was probably a bad idea (I know, it was partly mine) and was definitely not well thought out (evidence the massive crashes it caused).

If it every did return it would be highly unlikely to look like the event you remember.

I've often wondered what a time traveller from the 1950's would make of the modern world. After all, they were promised a "Jetsons" style world of space travel and flying cars. They'd probably be impressed with a smartphone for all of five minutes, but I think there overriding impression would be "meh".

you should bring it back as a colored egg hunt in the Moors, find the eggs, get Moors boosts or comms, renown, etc... would cause people to try to do small groups in the moors to find eggs. but they would have to contain significant enough boost to make it worth the search and the deaths, like 1,000 comms for gold egg, 5,000 for rare platinum egg, blue egg 100 comms, 500 infamy, etc.... or maybe like +2 or +6 temporary glory rank.

Not sure what the creep item equivalent might be...

I think it would drive a lot of VIP sales and interest.

And of course send out advertising e-mails to past subscribers with at least 2 weeks notice, and day before, so they can log in and get ready / renew subs.

How about letting us run around on April Fools with our chicken session play avatar while hacking and slashing our way through the mobs? Or at least those of us with "Chicken" as part of our name? I might even pay at least 100TP to do that.

I was thinking more of how long the servers could stay up, and why we can't crash them once a year.

I got the opportunity to participate in this event for 30 min before work and was so disappointed when it was taken down, not least because I wanted that title!

I never got to participate. I would have loved to be playing then. +Sapience has already said it is unlikely this event will bare much similarity to what it was before if anything like it returns. While I hope for something new. I think for a title with a ~3hr availability it might be nice to finally make it available for all. It's just too perfect for most of my hobbits to be lying on a shelf somewhere, unseen by many. Especially on the new F2P worlds.

And years ago when this happened I managed to do this deed on one of my characters and got the Title "FOOL" Why was my title taken away from me?
Yes I understand that everyone wanting to do this all at the same time crashed the servers. Yet it was a unique title that very few managed to get.
