    Volume 2 Epilogue

Isn't it past time to fix this to make it soloable?

As far as I know it is except for Sammath Gul - Gorothul. I have completed all solo, except for this one.

Turbine decided to use a legalese definition solution to this problem. The Epilogue for Volume 2 is by definition NOT part of the Epic Line. Therefore, no solo option needs to be provided.

My personal opinion is that Turbine should have removed the small fellowship and fellowship content from the deed since Turbine was not going to provide a solo option. Instead Turbine decided to make no changes.

I think most of us would have liked a solo option. For some unstated reason probably "cost or lack of resources" the solo instances were not created.

Since the quests in the Epilogue that are still Fellowship-required only existed in order to provide group content for those who wanted some, the proper way to make these solo is to delete them, which I don't want to do.

I edited my post while you were writing yours. Not awake yet. Up late last night. Not enough coffee in me.

Given that doing a solo version did not happen. Isn't going to happen. Deletion would be the best solution.

If you like doing group content, you will end up doing all four of these instances just for the been there done that fun. Of course, here are other deeds for these instances like 'Throwing Down Sammath Gul' for the folks that really like group content.

I'm going to go with MoL here - don't delete the quests or remove them from the deed. Grouping isn't for everyone, that's perfectly fine. That doesn't mean that it should be possible to get every game benefit without using every play style. If I want to get every benefit, finish every deed, I should be expected to play a few different ways to achieve that. One of those ways is grouping.

I think what really is needed is a huge bunch of added "quest slots" so we can carry around more quests That way we can move on from areas where we can't finish the quests and do other quests while waiting for groups to form, and then we'd be ready to jump in no matter where we are, instead of remembering what NPC's gave the quests and then run around gathering them before the other people have started the instance without you

Anyway, please don't remove the epilogue mentioned above I like soloing but it's still fun to group up here and there and get to meet nice people from all over the world!

Or try it when you're at level cap and see if you can do it.
N.B. I haven't tried this, but whh and I have successfully
duoed several of the epilogue quests. I think we have one
left which we may do sometime when we have nothing else
    to do.

(And if that doesn't work, wait till you reach the next
    level cap, et cetera.)

Since the number of quest slots is purposely limited, perhaps a better solution would be a separate set of "inactive" quests. Once a quest was picked up but before any of its goals were started, it could be moved to the "inactive" list. These quests would then act like remote bestowed quests when triggered. This would reduce the database requirements for the "inactive" list and still require an "active" slot so the quest could be advanced, but would eliminate the remembering and running around gathering parts.

I'm agreeing with MoL and Warmutkan here. Not everyone goes into the moors, but when you want to finish everything that's part of the deeds and the game, too. And also all the deeds for instances and raids are (mostly) only completable in group, too - so you need to form groups when you want to finish everything. Otherwise: these group quests of the Epilogue work completly fine with level 85 and probably even 75, so you can still decide: now in group or later solo.

I'd just like to throw in that since the epilogue requires a group as it is, completing Barad Guldur should really be part of it. That's the culmination of the Mirkwood story! I understand that complaints about being "forced" to raid will immediately crop up, but if we're already "forcing" grouping you might as well go the whole way. My 2 cents.

Sounds nice to me It could be a list of reminders about what quests you haven't done

Though I must say that I sometimes remember fondly an old console game where you could get an item that would beep if there were treasure left in a dungeon, so you knew which dungeons to search through for missed stuff. Oh how great it would be to have an item that would tell me if there were any quests left to do it the area! Yes, impossible and doesn't fit the game, but one can dream, right?
