    A few event idea

Since there are a few more mins, when the servers come back on time today, i just want to draft some ideas which came to my mind.

In fact it were Uruks taking the Hobbits to Isengard. why not doing it next time the other way around? creeps can finally come out of the moors for a few hours and lets
say they need to take a hobbit from e. g. Barad Guldur to Isengard (probably not from Bree, to prevent some misuses e. g. killing lowbies). There could be serveral competitions in it:
How long does the creeps of a server needed? How many kills the creeps got? How long does the freeps needed to wipe the creeps? how many kills does the freeps got? etc.

Ofc. theres a need to make the hobbit immun against any damage, cause he will just die by creep aoe, or open world mobs, cause creeps havent got something like shieldwall.

I also think some moors event would be much appreciated. maybe also to advertise them:

what came to my mind here, reduce the oneshoters for a few hours and then the challenge is that freeps need to take grams / or creeps need to take GV.
in the first option, you could make that all freeps can enter the moors for free for that event, so they can look around and see what it is about and they may come back then.
would be a more gladly first step into moors as with the moors pass, since you are mostly on your own and get slaughtered just a few sec after you got out of GV.

Could also be something like that creeps base is GV for a few hours and freeps base is grams and now they need to take their regular base back. side whos first wins like a infamy buff for a week or something.

Or when we want to go with the TTHTI setup: take the hobbit from isendeeps to GV, from DG (with the relic) to GV etc. also here, there should be a free access for this time, ofc just when its handable duo to serverlags.

This would require major changes to the game and also to our plans and strategy for the game. The TTHTI style runs are intended to be simple things that can be done without any new features or changes being made to the game.

This is possible, and has been discussed a couple of times. Still looking into it.

Again, major changes to the game here so not likely to happen.

Because the ettenmoors does not have a contiguous connection to the rest of the world, and the Hobbit is only level 10, you couldn't get him there and you then couldn't get him out. Because the hobbit is level 10, any kind of teleport is refused to areas too high above level. In fact, a raise will actually cause the character to home point because it is too low a level if it dies in areas significantly higher in level than it.

Besides the numerous threads on this forum asking for Turbine to not let let the Creeps out (with me being one of the folks asking for it to not happen) What would be the point of making the hobbit immune to damage? What challenge would there be in that? If nothing could kill it, it could just run from Point A to Point B with nothing to stop it. No thanks, you Creeps stay on your map.

While you may want to run the hobbit from here to there, there will be those players that will just want to go gank lower level people, then camp the respawn circle. The current event uses the existing game to work. What you are asking for would require several changes (not a programmer, so I cannot speak to how difficult it may be to bring about)

Edit. Sapience made most of the same points, and in a clearer fashion.

I think they should make a hill in the moores with a fairly steep incline & doesn't have any one-shots or mobs nearby or flags to capture & then sponsor an event called King-of-the-mountain where the goal would be to bring a bare-bones rank 1 creep to the top (& hold the position) without getting killed for say 30 minutes. The idea being Sapience would be the bare-bones build Creep & you'd have to take him to the top of the hill & keep him there (alive) for a half hour. You could make it challenging (after update 14) by having the hill in range of a catapult maybe? I don't know...

I could be wrong, but with autoscaling in the moors now, I think you can take a level 10 character into the moors and rez them.

Since taking the hobbits to isengard is almost over how about a devs pvmp event like codies used to do ,come to the moors with a dragon, troll, ranger etc with a nice drop( i.e a brand that freeps can use that's initialy made for CG),therefore we can have same use as creeps mordirths brand.

That's the sort of thing that is frequently done for an
end-of-beta event. Bring in Smaug from the east, the
Balrog from the south, the Witch-King from the north,
and Lobelia from the west. Watch the system crash and
    burn.

    But not in live, thanks.

That sounds fun. I personally would like to just get armies on either side and charge into the onslaught of death. Wouldn't need any dpecial event though, all you need is a ton of people actually willing to do something like that. :P

Well, that's the problem, isn't it? There are not that many
    players willing to do PvMP.

Another problem, probably: if you get enough players in on
either side to constitute even two rather small "armies," you're
going to have the lag they were saving for Melkor Morgoth.
There was a beta event for SoA when everybody went to the
Trestlebridge and all the devs played Orcs. Hellish lag. Our
frame rates were not in frames per second, but seconds per
frame. You'd throw an attack and never know if it connected
    or not.

Finally we crashed the server, and everybody cheered
because that was what we were supposed to do in
    that event.

But not in live, please. AC2 used to have an occasional event
in which a Tremendous Monouga (humanoid mob five or six
stories tall) would invade Cragstone and everybody would show
up to fight it. Same kind of lag. I don't think Turbine has
attempted anything like that in LotRO except in betas ...
    learned by experience, I suppose.
