    Timeline for Update 15

    Is there any information about how much longer it will be until we get Update 15? I'm excited to see the changes to the legendary item system. I'd also like to see the essense system fleshed out to actually be worth using. I'm also already tired of the end game grind we have now in Dol Amroth.

    Helms Deep launched the week after Thanksgiving in 2013, so I'm expecting about the same release window for U15.

    Personally, I would hope that we will have a 14.2 long before we see Update 15.
    Update 15 will be major content expansion (Beornings, etc.), and there still are quite a few bugs that need fixing between now and then.

    Yes, in particular essences (Vitality problem, ...) and the broken loot table need to be fixed ASAP

    Yes, I certainly second that. I applaud the increase in difficulty and the work done in U14. But the loot issue is taking so much motivation away from running harder content that it is impossible to find groups.

    Things to fix? Let's see, where to start...

    [1] Skill lag.
    [2] Instance scaling, particularly T2 morale (NB damage is fine), especially at lower levels.
    [3] Loot tables and raid chests.
    [4] Essence crafting recipe gaps.
    [5] Spam-inducting mobs defeating nerfed interrupt skills (SG is a good example).
    [6] Chasm in difficulty between t1 and t2 - t1 should be harder, t2 balanced properly by fixing item 2 as well as random aggro 1-shots.
    [7] Big battle bugs and repeat loot.
    [8] Lower-level raid balancing (e.g. Orthanc t2; try doing it with 75s...)
    [9] Huge gap in survivability between heavies and others, especially classes with little self-healing. It's one thing completing t2 challenges on parties of guards, cappies and champs; others want to play too. Sorting out the broken medium mitigation curve should be a start.
    [10] Proper rewards for completing t2 and challenge (maybe an extra piece of loot for *all* for T2 HM).
    [11] Something to spend seals on.
    [12] Daily instance loot locks to prevent farming; they're there in BBs and Hytbold, Wildermore and DA, so...
    [13] Fail trait lines (most classes have at least one); we have to suck the trees up, but let's at least make them work semi-properly[
    [14] Captains being better at rezzing in combat than minstrels - WUT?

    Someone said they mentioned something about a release month at the Gamescom in Cologne, I think... ?!?!

    However, the Dead Marshes were meant to be released between U14 and U15, and as it wasn't part of U14.1 we can surely expect an U14.2 except they changed their minds and plans. But IIRC Rowan said in the latest producer's letter that the Dead Marshes are on target.

    I'll add some more:

    [19] Buff update lag. (kinda the same as skill lag)
    [20] DPS balancing between classes: Classes that have access to high survivability while DPS-traited shouldn't be the best in DPS.
    [21] Skills that don't require a target shouldn't get canceled when the target dies.
    [22] Retarget lag (and with that I mean skills going to the wrong target).
    [23] Scaling in general (instances, stats, skills, everything that scales basically)
    ~Dwarrowdelf (Bomb Squad)~
    Freeps: Vulcwen (R8 LM), Vulciel (lvl 100 RK), and some lower level alts.. Creep: Shadowweb (R6 spider)

    ^^ Lots of this, number 14 in particular. Minstrels asking for invites to raids and being told, sorry, we need a cappie o-o WUT? muchly
    Sometimes, no matter how hard you look, there is no best light.
