Is the Welcome Back Weekend buff indefinite now?

The other day I logged into LotRO for the first time in quite a while and noticed that the Welcome Back Weekend buff (+25% XP) was active. I notice it's still there at the moment. Is it running indefinitely now?

As strange as it may sound I don't personally like XP boosts. LotRO is an MMO where I like to take my time and enjoy the journey and I often end up feeling that I'm levelling too fast when there's a boost on. Just curious if this is still a temp buff, or if it's likely to remain indefinitely?

It was turned off early in October around the 4th.

It is not active on the server that I play on currently which is Meneldor. I logged in to check before writing this post.

Did you check the text for the buff icon carefully?

    Very strange.

I'm on Imladris and, having asked on world chat, it seems everyone on Imladris has the buff. Yet when I rolled a quick alt on Meneldor, or even on Gladden - the current 'recomended' server - no buff. Seems like it's only that one server.

I guess the powers are welcoming people back to Imladris.

Not any more thanks to the winterfern. Good job winterfern ruining it for all those that were enjoying it.
