    Question on Elven Lore Masters

Some Classes rely on morale more than others and Lore Masters seem to be one of these

Does the negative Fate modifier of the elf race cause problems with the Lore Master because of this

(still restricted to this one forum)

    Hello again!

Once upon a time, when I started... or shortly there after, I met an elf Champion. He seemed to know what he was doing for the most part and he decided to show me around the Trollshaws. I was not quite ready for that but thats an aside. He talked about basic stuff and one thing he complained about was out of combat morale regeneration.

Since then Fate has gone through many changes. It used to be very needed but people don't seem to see that as much any more. Currently it still helps regen and it affects critical hits twice as much as agility, which I believe Lore-masters skimp on. I don't see Elves suffering from lack of fate these days as lots of gear has it, just for tactical classes. I think the information you have is a bit out of date. It might have been an issue when the level cap was 50 and getting there was quite a journey. Not so much today. I'm sure someone will correct me but I think the initial amt was -10 fate, but don't quote me. As you can see thats a drop in the bucket, unless you are talking about up to level 30 or so. Since you can get to level 30 crafting its not that much of a deal. Beginners trying LMs should expect to die a lot until they learn some things about LM.

Out of curiosity, what server are you on?
    ...
Sig looked hideous so I sent it to its room. It can come back and
show off after it has thought about what it did.

At level 13 an elf can go kill 50 orcs (Emnity of the Orcs I deed) and gain a racial trait that gives +20 Fate. That takes care of the Elvish Fate penalty.

Levels later, you may wish to unslot that racial trait in favor of another because the Fate penalty has become a drop in the bucket compared to all the +Fate you've got from various equipment.

Loremasters rely *less* on morale than most classes. All our ranged skills can let us kill stuff before it gets in range to hit us. We have a few skills that cost morale but I've never seen it make the slightest impact. None of the racial stat variations make the slightest impact at high levels either when each gear piece can have hundreds of stat points on it.

Yeah I went for it, as I wanted a Character to Play the Celondim area. With my Trusty Bear partner BearBehind (because He's always behind me ) we are surviving just fine
