Do we still have a leader for LotRO?

Last time Vyvyanne logged into the forums (according to her profile) was May 05 2016 at 08:24 AM.

We would be very grateful in light of the layoff news for any crumbs to let us know there will be renewed focus on (to me) two important issues:

a) Performance and stability fixes from problems induced by or during the recent datacenter move (they are not yet resolved.)

b) The future of the game in general: will we still see major updates or expansions? Or should we begin doing a deep tour for easter eggs and rare content while we still can?

I haven't seen the "layoff" part of that from an official source.

While her Facebook page says she's with Incantrix, the Incantrix website says she was one of the original founders, and their first event was on 6 Feb 2016. While I don't know that she's still at the LotRO helm, saying she can't be simultaneously Executive Producer here and CEO of Incantrix doesn't pass muster, since she was undeniably the EP of LotRO when Incantrix's first event happened.

And, as I said before, you gotta love anybody who can rock a fairy costume like Athena!

Not too long ago Frelorn was saying on his twitch that she we busy with reports and stuff at Turbine.

Maybe she couldn't face sacking "her" team?

Just wish Turbine would have been honest with us these last few years. May WBs got sick of the same from them too.

I for one would welcome a back-story, it might take my mind off worrying about a game when I should be outside doing landscaping on my yard.

I blame the heat. It has been a bit of a hot year, so far. Today has been much more tolerable than it has been around here lately, though.

She and a friend started a Live-Action-Roleplay venture for evenings and weekends. This could easily be a funtime side-activity that they do while still doing their regular jobs.

If she was still doing her job she would be doing damage control. Her last post was April 26th and her last login was may 5th.

Vyv probably did a good job as far as Turbine/WB are concerned. She may even be happy with what she did herself. It may even be on her CV.

Her FB page says she was previously with Incantrix, as well as Realtime Worlds, but still EP at Turbine. Doesn't say whether she's still EP at LOTRO. That assumes her page is up to date.



Then again, I may be desperately grasping at straws. If she's gone, she will be missed by quite a number of people. She was a breath of fresh air.

The article was published February 10th, two months before Vyv's FB page reflected her "started working at" message. Again, perhaps just grasping at straws, but she definitely was working there well in advance.

Not to mention her facebook page says that she Formerly worked at Incantrix, but still says she works at Turbine.

Assuming that she stopped working at Incantrix after April 28th, she remembered to remove Incantrix but not to remove Turbine if she quit Turbine.

Logical deduction leads me to believe that either she still works at Turbine or she just slipped up. Either way, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

My guess and hope is WP cleaned house and brought in a new crew to finally fix things. But that is prolly a pipe-dream.
