    How to GET IN

    READ THIS:

In the launcher on the top right, click the arrow. There is an option to logout.

Sign right back in and your number WILL go down until you get in. Wait a few minutes between sign ins. Do NOT start a new launcher, you will just lose your place.

Once I did this, I was in after 15 minutes.

It doesn't work, you just get further behind in the Queue.

Sorry at first it wouldn't work for me but my wife tried it and it worked for her.
Then it worked for me after 3 more tries.
Now it is starting to count down some.

Worked for me. Relaunching whole Launcher wasn't do jack.
Tried relogging thru Launch every couple minutes. Dropped bout 500 numbers each time. Took about 12 minutes.

I was in earlier and am trying to get back in now. Using OP's method I have been steadily watching my # drop, but it hasn't been fast.

I got in about 30 mins after launch.

I enabled "allow multiple game clients to be launched" or however its worded in the Options.

I just kept opening new clients until I got in, while leaving the old ones still open .

Not sure how it worked, but it did after the 6th or 7th attempt.

    Good luck!

My number was going down steadily (but slowly), but the last time it went up.

I can only report what I witnessed. Don't really care that you don't believe me as I already reserved all my toon's names and played my mini for a bit on there. There were a few times I went 'up' in the queue, but not by much. They key is waiting a few minutes between each logout and quickly typing your PW in to get back into it.

Closing down the launcher and restarting it worked identically but probably was less convenient. Still got me in after a while.

Didn't get all names - too bad I hadn't realized what to do at noon. But got almost all.

That definitely sounds like the "now serving" number associated with your account gets cached and remains valid for an unknown period of time. Otherwise, just as with closing and restarting the launcher, you'd go back toward the end of the line with a different "now serving" number that would not necessarily have as many valid "now serving" numbers between your and the last person that dropped from the queue by reason of successfully entering the game world it had previously. A factor that is unknown to a player is how long that number remains valid if they simply wait. If it remains valid as long as a 'keep alive' and 'is alive' handshake is active, then it should not matter if you simply wait or try the logout/on; other than refreshing the display.

It does work. If the queue number goes up again, just try again right away, it WILL go down.

    Edit:

An even quicker way is to click on the "language" button, "EN" in my case, choose your language from the drop down, and it cycles through to the world choice screen, you don't have to log back in like when using the "logout" option.

    Number still goes down.

Took me over an hour of playing the launcher game to get in, while I left the original launcher open to see if the queue works at all. Original launcher was still waiting (I wasn't expecting the queue number to update) while one of my newer launchers was finally logged in.

Why does this seems to work? I decided to put a network monitor to use. When you open the launcher, it does its thing. Normally, you will get in before your "now serving" number becomes invalid. If you let the launcher sit, it will do a 'keep alive'/'is alive' handshake up for a period of time. If you don't get served before this happens, your "now serving" number becomes invalid. That's how it looks to me. I may be wrong, but I don't think that I am in terms of the "big picture", after all you would not want the launcher to keep hitting the logon server when it doesn't need to do that under normal conditions. A big land-rush isn't normal. Where they went wrong? They underestimated the size of the rush and didn't have enough capacity to handle it. Thus, the 6pm Eastern launch of a second server.

At 23:00 UK time, none of the above worked. General opinion in quite a large kinship is that someone has made some very poor decisions and that an EU server and a US server, and proably an "everywhere else" server may have been the smart move at release. 30 or so irritated players, mix of lifetimers and VIPs who wont try for more than a couple of days to get in and then will decide its not worth it. The two or three who did get in have made a toon or two then could not log back in later.

Good manners precludes using the sort of frustrated profanity this has generated far and wide but a serious apology would be a start.

I had doubts but this actually worked for me. I have been trying for over 6 hours to get in. I was number 2306 in line right after the server opened. I waiting 3 hours and nothing. I tried this method, and although it took a few hours, it slowly counted me down and then finally worked. Thanks.

New server - Ithil now online.

I'll see if any of these works, I can definitely confirm just waiting for the queue does not seem to work. It's been 1 hour, 53 minutes.

Like the man said, wait a minute or two between each attempt to logout then right back in.

I've been trying this for the past hour, number has been steadily increasing by about 30-40 each time.

People running into queue issues may want to consider making characters on Ithil while we work to implement character transfers between the two worlds.

You may also want to work on implementing working queues. They still don't move. The only way to get around them is to constantly restart the launcher until it lets you in.
