"Present yourself to the chieftain" unavailable

Wicked Daggers and Bone amulets now have the Aughaire quest "Present yourself to the chieftain" as a prerequisite, but I don't seem to have done it, despite having completed the follow up "Crannog's challenge." None of the clan hunters are offering the quest, so I seem to be stuck, not able to use those two rep items.

I have the same issue with one of my alts. I'd be curious if you ever hear anything about it.

I tried finishing all of Crannog's quests, hoping this would make the starter quest available again, but to no avail, so I'm afraid we're stuck

IIRC, that quest is generated by finishing certain Ram Duath quests

I don't believe that is true. Our group is quickly running through JUST the book quests and when my toon showed up to Aughaire I picked up the quest upon entering (the pathing Hunter near the stables) and turned it in. I then picked up and did the challenge quest line. My buddies who I summoned straight to Crannog and ran those quests with me then realized they needed to do the "Chieftain" quest and now cannot.

I also had another high-level Aria toon (115) that went straight to Crannog to do his challenge quest line only to find that she too can't now do the "Cheiftain" quest. So thats THREE toons that cannot get that quest after doing Crannog's challenges and now cannot turn in those rep item! All four of those toons did not do ANY Ram Duath quests leading up to that so I know that is not a pre-requisite...I believe the pre-requisite is to NOT go straight to Crannog:-(

If anybody figures out how to get that quest back there are 3 players who need to know...and yes, we re-booted, etc.

Not all Clan Hunters offer this quest. I found mine near 0.0S, 39.9W. (If you're over-level, the quest rings are hard to see.) I've updated the wiki.

I understand, but we went through the town twice. I have low level quest rings showing on my 115 UI, but even still, the other 2 level 45 toons don't see any hunters with quest rings. I will be bringing another 45ish toon through there this week(end) in hopes of picking it up and possibly sharing it with the 115 if allowed.

Regardless, it's certainly an issue and potentially a problem if players can't use rep items due to this unconfirmed bug.

Also, if you update the wiki, you might want to put "Use of Wicked Daggers" as a reward since technically/indirectly it is...as Crannog's Challenge should also reflect the same reward-type reference for the other rep item (name escapes me).

As an aside, I attempted to pick up the quest on a new toon (successfully, from the same pathing hunter at the Stables) and share it with toons who couldn't get it. That experiment failed, said toon was "Ineligible".

Seems like the issue isn't having completed "Crannog's Challenge" but even having accepted the quest makes it impossible to get the "Present yourself to the Chieftain" quest. I had to cancel "Crannog's Challenge" and then the quest icon showed up above a Clan Hunter.
