Entered a Restricted Area in the Dimrill Dale

Loving the new scenery in Dimrill Dale, but I got a big red warning saying

YOU HAVE ENTERED A RESTRICTED AREA AND WILL BE REMOVED IF YOU DO NOT LEAVE

Is this part of the game, or is this some unfinished business with the update? I started backing up but only got 2 steps before I got bounced all the way back to Archet.

It's level 130 content, so you'd only be bounced back to your starting zone if you're too low level for it. Judging by the fact you were enjoying the scenery though, I guess that wasn't the issue for you, so perhaps you went off-map a bit while exploring.

I ran into this doing the actual quest associated with it at level 130 and got kicked to Thorin's Gate. I came back and hugged the side of the cliff and made it up without an issue, seems like a lingering thing that someone forgot to remove.

The mobs up the mountain were level 60-61, for the record.

Yeah, I'm level 130 for the record as well so looks like we had the same experience. I never did find any associated quests but I was too busy looking at the new landscape to go hunting for the silver rings. Maybe I'll try again.

This is a bug it seems, if were talking about the same place, with Update 30 they also updated the Lothlorien region in present day so there's new landscape to explore on northern part of the Dimril dale/Nanduhirion area, there's an open path that leads to some ruins its same exact path you take in the Battle of Azanulbizar map all is fine there, however in present day you can take same path but you hit the restricted area when you shouldn't, because your not going off the map. I reported on beta before to be fixed so perhaps in a future update.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. A fix for this issue will be going live with the next bug fix patch.

Sweet, thank you - I appreciate the response from the devs on the forum!

I went back today and ran a Level 56 alt through the area, and stuck to the side of the valley as the poster above, and managed to get through the orange mobs without hitting the restricted area.
