Unable to reach kindred with Cardolan?

I believe I've done all the quests in Swanfleet and Cardolan (including the new epic, which was wonderful!). But I'm only 4,900/30,000 into Ally. Did I miss some repeatables somewhere? I read on a discord server that it's not possible to reach kindred. Is that the case?

You were probably supposed to buy rep scrolls from the store before you started. Does the kindred rep actually grant anything useful?

There is a pet available (a stork, if I recall correctly). I'm kindred in almost every rep, and the completionist in me would like to see that bar filled. It just seems odd that there is no way to achieve kindred.

There are a few "off the beaten track" quests in Cardolan plus the 2 "Trophy Mob" deeds that each give a quest and rep. If you check your completed quests, there should be 101 quests completed under the heading Cardolan. A final quest "The Doom of Sarch Vorn" cannot yet be completed.

I reached kindred with Cardolan. I did not use any rep accelerators. If you use Lotro Companion and do a rep search in the quests tab, it brings up all the quests available with quest text to help locate the quest giver. Was very helpful finding the off-the-beaten-path quests. I also did all the deeds in the zone. (sorry for quality of pic, i took a picture of my computer screen to text my BF the day I got the achievement )

Additional reputation will be earnable by completing the repeatable instance quests in Sarch Vorn, the Black Grave on any group size or difficulty once it launches, and we'll also be adding Tasks to Swanfleet and Cardolan in an update soon(tm).

Nice to have a list but its impossible to find alle the out of the way quest starters even with lotro companion, given only the quest texts and not the loc of the starting npcs ... :/

Hi. LC also provides maps to find the location of NPCs.
But yes, no direct link from the quest form to the map. lotro-wiki will fill the gaps...

If you are using LC you can open the quest text, find the name of the NPC, then use the maps' function and filter the name of the NPC. That's how I managed to complete them all.

Thx, havent thought of that, will try that. Have reinstallerd LC yesterday. Maps wont load for me tho in LC. Just seeing the annotations but instead of the map i have only the white background

You have to set the path of your lotro client in the settings window.
For LC support, please use Discord (invite available in the about window).

but why release if this is the case? it makes the region totally incomplete

Have reached kindred with 3 characters without any reputation tomes.
Cant see that this is an issue. Explore the region some more and do the deeds.

I noticed the same thing - that it didn't look like I would hit Kindred even if I wrapped up the deeds. Since the Higher rep items on the quartermaster are underwhelming, I didn't really worry about it. I have a ton of iron coins, but not moved to buy much. I mean, come on, no mount?

I finished rep easily by turning in all the junk at the Task boards. I used a few accelerator buffs tho

This was sort of my experience as well. I only turned in maybe three days worth of tasks because of what I was hearing about reputation, but I was Kindred before completing any of the non-quest deeds and searching for rare spawns.

The original post was when the expansion was first released. Yes, it's now easy to reach kindred - it was not as clear 2 months ago.

As a follow up to this, I have....

- completed Kindred.
- Used three days x 5 task turn in = 5 x 300 rep per day, totally 4500 rep over 3 days.
- completed ALL deeds, slayer, explorer, and quest - all of which give rep. (and completing a "set" of deeds gives additional rep)
- completed the epic book through the part you get sent to Forsaken Inn or North Downs and you have to level to 32. (my toon is locked at 30 for now using a stone, and doing Yondershire first).

When I reached Kindred, I still found quests..... when you start looking for the treasure chests and the trophies, I found a number of lone NPC's parked out near ruins and camps that I wasn't specifically SENT to (that I remember) but had a quest or two.

Many of these issues could be resolved with pointers aka a bulletin board telling people to look for xyz who needs help with abc. At least people would know they need to go looking for a quest. This would be a quality of life item. Same thing for dlevings and missions. Have a central location in the new area that indicates where you should be headed any given day.

This is first faction in Lotro where you CAN'T reach kindred at release time.
