Any ETA yet on opening the floodgates?

Just wondering whether you have a firm ETA on when the Lorebook will be reopened for user contributions again. =)

    Very very soon.

We had planned on doing this last week to coincide with the Evendim content update. However, we ran into some technical difficulties and decided to hold off rather than risk rushing something that might cause problems.

Stay tuned for more details this week...

Re: Any ETA yet on opening the floodgates?

Why can't I change stats of the items? Official part of the page includes precoded Turbine module that I can't change and yet Turbine still has not addressed what we all were asking for so long. If you can't see STAT BONUSES on items, what the heck Lorebook is for then? Just to check the base armor value of the item? But we don't care about it much if there is not stat bonuses on that item, we usually........ sell it to vendor.

Let us at least change stats ourselves on the items if you can't handle it with centralized module that supposedly is connected to LOTRO database?

I second this and I know we are not the only ones asking for this adjustment. This would help alot more in plaining what items you want in future quests and compare them and would get the lorebook site more internet traffic from players that play the game. As it is now I have three different sites I go to to get the information I need but would like to use the lorebook, but its practically useless as it is now unfortunately.

I've come across something I'd consider a critical issue, now that the Lorebook is editable. While looking at the option of creating my user page, I noticed that ALL users can edit everyone else's pages. To verify this, I checked on one of the main Editor's pages, and yes, I could have changed the Editor's text on his/her own page.

I strongly feel that we should not be able to edit each other's user pages, although those who are moderating the Lorebook should have overriding access in case a user gets TOO "frisky" on his/her own page. For ANY user to be able to edit any other user's page creates a potential for abuse. This is the one page which should be limited to the user, only. Comments/discussions should remain open, but editing of the page content should be limited to self-access, only.

This raises the question of Kinship access, as well, but if a few members of a kinship keep tabs on the Kinship page, it should be fine. Individual pages, on the other hand, might be created and edited only once in a very great while -- or never touched by the user who "owns" it, so it should be restricted to self-access (in the editing screen) only.

Sorry for repeating myself here; just trying to be clear, and probably not doing all that well at it, today.

Er, you can make this adjustment. I just tested it. See: http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Armour:Crafted_Armour

As an aside to this, is there an official term for a "critical success version" of a crafted item?

This is standard for most of the major wikis.

I guess we will have to deal with this. The only problem is that changes that you add with an edit option don't show up if item is being pulled and pointed at from different menus. You have to actually go to this items page to see what it does. If I open 2 pages for example and want to compare stats on items that I am being rewarded with by 2 different quests I can't really do it unless I click the item and go into its page then I have to come back click the other item and so on.

It is only a work-around but are we gonna get some official module change to see item stats crossreferenced...
And where is so long ago promised in Evendim update in-game WEB FEATURE?
