    #REDIRECT problem

#REDIRECT [[Fellowship Maneuver:March of the Ents]]

There's an old document listed as March of Ents

    [[Fellowship Maneuver:March of Ents]]
    http://lorebook.lotro.com/index.php?...:March_of_Ents

It is an invalid document, the contents were moved to March of the Ents a while back so I stubbed the doc out and put in a #REDIRECT on it as listed on line 1 of this post. (I figured 'just incase' it is used somewhere, just redirect...)

    What shows is:
    1. REDIRECT Fellowship Maneuver:March of the Ents

It appears that #REDIRECT just isn't working.

The syntax is correct, I double checked looking at the {{D}} template, which redirects successfully to the {{Delete}} template but it just doesn't seem to work.

I suspect it is a namespace limitation to prevent redirect abuse, in which case, someone with proper authority will need to adjust the page.

Another 'old' page needs redirect attention.

    [[Fellowship Maneuver:Roll the Drums]]

I put the code in to redirect it to the published info...

I've noticed this too... I need to redirect my user page [[Useymongoose]] to the previously existing one [[UserYMongoose]] (capitalisation difference)
    DYMongoose

Is there any chance of getting this fixed, or (at least) a system to request admin changes that will make redirects work?

    Re: #REDIRECT problem

Greetings; the issue here appears to be the carriage return after the redirect tags mentioned. Removing those and having just the redirect line as the only line of the wiki text has cleared this up. The March of the Ents and Roll the Drums pages should be redirecting properly now.

So, if you see a redirect not working properly, try stripping out any extra text before or after the redirect code. If that still doesn't fix it, let me know.

    Cheers.
