Crafting is the most fun for me, it is what I seriously like to do and if this game had a way to purely craft... I would. However it is also the most frustrating, especially now that things like critmats have been nerfed to drop from nodes that your top level toon might no longer be able to harvest and that all the ingredient names have been changed meaning that things like the farming panel are now no longer sorted and logical.

My hope is that one day Turbine might actually ask "hardcore" crafters what they think before changing things.

    Question 1
Do you use social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, etc? If so, which sites?

    Facebook regularly, Twitter occasionally

    Question 2
What part of LOTRO is the most 'fun' for you? What is the most frustrating?

Fun: Making things for my kin, exploring, good RP, seeing things in the game that I read about in the books.

Frustrating: Other player's behavior (spammers, people with bad names, people using glff to chat amongst themselves, etc), difficulty getting groups to do The Books with successfully, being required to group to complete the level 45/50 class quests, combat being required for crafting advancement and resources.

    Question 3
Do you play on a laptop or a desktop PC? Feel free to show off your specs!

Primarily on an older desktop with dual monitors on Low Res. I can also goof around in LOTRO on my ASUS Eee PC 901 on Very Low Res, though the teeny screen pretty much limits me to chat and browsing the AH

Thavrondir, maker of fine wood weaponry at reasonable prices on the Landroval server. Custom orders welcome via in-game mail.

    Question 1
Do you use social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, etc? If so, which sites

    Yes, facebook mainly.

    Question 2
What part of LOTRO is the most 'fun' for you? What is the most frustrating?

I love doing the high level 6-man instances. They are fun and when i do start getting tired of them I can work on deeds or leveling my Legendary items.
Most frustrating for me would be leveling...I find that from 39-45 there aren't any great areas so go...at least imo. I find angmar frustrating and personally just don't enjoy the misty mts either.

    Question 3
Do you play on a laptop or a desktop PC? Feel free to show off your specs!

I mainly play on a laptop...though i treat it as a desktop most of the time....dual processor with a large amount of memory. I haven't any many issues without actually found that I had more issues playing the game with Vista than just playing on my laptop in general.

    Question 1

    No

    Question 2

(I have one character at 50 and just bought Moria yesteday.)

I find it fun just being in your version of Middle-Earth. There have been many quests that I've found fun, usually because of the storyline or some NPC reaction. Hobbits are always fun, and questing in the Shire was lots of fun. I actually like completing deeds to get virtues and class traits. It feels like I am fundamentally improving my character rather than just acquiring a piece of gear that always eventually gets replaced.

I am indescribably frustrated by the number of quest chains that start off as a series of solo quests and then lead to or end as a group quest. This is a terrible combination. A quest chain is usually a story arc that is being played out. To run into a group quest usually means I can't find a group and I can't complete the story. This means I have had NO fun with the books, they are a chore, and lots of time passes before I continue them, either because I can now solo the group quest or because I was lucky enough to get into a group. As a result, I've lost all track of the story that is unfolding in them. It is therefore VERY frustrating to get to Angmar, for example, and learn that I can't go into certain areas because the sentries (or whatever they are called) kill me instantly until I complete some particular book (according to someone in region chat). I have this dread that Moria will contain other areas that are "gated" to the completion of books. Also, to have so many group quests while not having a global LFG channel is plain lame.

    Question 3
Do you play on a laptop or a desktop PC? Feel free to show off your specs!

Desktop. An iMac (running Windows of course).

    Question 1
Do you use social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, etc? If so, which sites?

Yes. I use Facebook now and everything else that I've signed up for I don't check anymore.

    Question 2
What part of LOTRO is the most 'fun' for you? What is the most frustrating?

Running with my friends in the game doing anything is probably my favorite aspect when playing this game. As far as something that applies more to the game systems I would have to say exploration. There is so much to see in this place and it is kind of amazing the vastness of it all.

One of the things that I think would really boost this game in my eyes is having a better system for finding fellowships. As it stands just spamming the chat for groups seems way too ... messy.

    Question 3

    I play on a desktop.
    Core 2 Duo 6600
    2GB DDR2
    8800gts
    Running Win7 x64 RC
    Using DirectX10

    Answer 1

    No.

    Answer 2

I have the most fun with the social aspect of this game, helping out kinmates, friends, strangers do difficult tasks, making new contacts daily.
Least amount of fun killing 450 random type mobs again for another deed after 3 or 4 toons it becomes aggravating. Also the end game in moria has completely left out the casual gamer, the watcher left no room for error, no one else gets to have the end game gear unless they are elite, that's so unfair. And the MOST frustrating is the constant "nerfing" of the players at every patch/book, and to make it worse u make every boss harder so that any skills that don't fit in the way the DEVS think the fight should be done become useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
how about allowing the players use some brains and originality as well and develop their own tactics, What is the use of having certain skills we cant use them when the going gets tough????? and the list goes on but ill stop there.....please stop making my toons useless for every fight

    Facebook.

    Question 2
What part of LOTRO is the most 'fun' for you? What is the most frustrating?
I like content that is hard and involves fighting, but not insanely difficult.
The most frustrating part is the grind. LIs, IXP, relics, deeds, gear, rep, barter items; there are so many different long grinds that the game is now a chore instead of a game.
I also get frustrated by the onslaught of nerfs.
I also get frustrated by all of the bugs & missing crafting items.
*edit* - I had to add Hounding Fear. OMG, I'm SO scared, I think I'll run away really, really slowly! ????????????????

    1. I am Social - Facebook and we have a kin group on there and a group to save the half-starved horse in Bree - Please let us feed him

    2. a) The Kin and everything we do together is the most fun, exploring, learning, developing, helping, partying, celebrating, etc.... (and it doesn't matter what level we are working on from 5 to 60)
    b) Picking Up Orc Poop! I would rather save Middle Earth by killing Orcs rather than picking up their poop

    3. Desk Top - although I have it on laptop as well.

Yes. All of them. Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, various gamer ones like xfire, gamerdna, etc and so on.

most fun= I love festivals, exploring new areas, & doing things I either haven't done before or trying to do things I have done in a different way, which is what is bugging me about the current gear gating and linear instances. Only one way is allowed to get in, and only one way is allowed to complete it once you're there. I liked being able to figure out different strategies with different group combinations before. It was challenging. Now, it's just the same routine each time.

most frustrating= see above. I hate grinding for slayer deeds - it's mind-numbing. Same with what crafting has become. I don't mind exploration deeds, you can do and see things as you get those. Repetitive grinds are just drudgery.

I play on both laptop and desktops, using both Vista 64 and Windows 7 64 RC. Multiple system configs.

    Primary computer is
    desktop -
Intel 2xquad-core 2.33GHz, 8GB RAM, Windows Vista 64 (going to 7 on release), & until I get the new card in a week or so - NVIDIA GT 120 - 23"HD WS monitor (via HDMI) DX10.
