Re: Dev Diary Feedback: New Main Menu

Well, this has been very infomative. I'm much happier with my newfound ui abilities. Thank you to all that responded. I didn't mean to thread-jack.

Actually, yes. Possibly more than most stance based classes. Balancing our threat against our DPS output usually requires shifting stances from Endurance at first to Strength at the end. Also, the other job of the hunter is to watch the healer's back. This is done most easily by pulling aggro off the healer with a quick switch to Strength. That's why Strength doesn't just boost our damage but also our threat. It's for saving minstrels.
Exactly. I find myself switching fairly often sometimes in a fight. Depending on what's happening, I will sometimes even do an Endurance/ Precision/ Strength progression. And had more than a couple of mini's and rk's gratefull I switched into strength to pull aggro off of them.

I'd check but am at home at the moment .
I was just able to check this and it looks like /ui layout save/load, at least on the build I was testing, does in fact capture the custom toolbar slot assignments.

Glad to be able to give some good news.

Nice! Folds arms and waits patiently for more dev diaries and the test this Tuesday.

Will the ui changes be available on the Skirmish test this Tuesday?

Someone had mentioned earlier about using up all of their available quickslot space with hunter ports and pots and food; is there any plans in the near future to allow us more quickslot bars?

I think the dev chat or a recent dev post on my.lotro confirmed that skills can be used directly from the skill UI. Certainly not a perfect solution, but it should be useful for non-combat skills that you could remove from your bars to free up space.

There are some really nice skins out there, and they're very simple to use. You should give them a try.
Poor Beta-testers, why you gotta pick on them?

Too bad you guys couldn't just add that nifty new main menu button to the minimap ring. I usually use a minimalist ui that hides all that stuff anyway, but I'm all for putting little buttons on the minimap.

Stuff like hunter tracking, ports, etc on a little dropdown from the minimap would be sweet and free up a TON of ui space.

I know it's just wishful thinking, but a fella can dream right?

Gonna have to hit my buddy Brygard up and see what we can hammer out for his B.G.M. ui.

A very small suggestion. It would nicely symmetric to have 7 buttons on each side, and would also allow a couple of additional panel buttons which would be useful.

Can the opacity of the menu be controlled?
