the Shield Piercer icon I noticed last night started changing with the application of fire oil. Was this a change in the patch or was it always like this as I never noticed it before?

They changed the icons for all the javelin skills (with the exception of ambush, and javelin toss) when oil is applied with Volume 3.

Oops! I didn't think these got into Book1. Javelin toss will have its icon updated in the next patch.

I used to use the oils on my hunter just for the different icons and effects.
Now I will begin to do so on my Warden. Newbish question, but does it affect the effect of the javelin in mid-air or how it strikes at all?
