Stop scheduling lotteries that end during scheduled server down-time!!

Two of my characters won the Taste of Bree but, of course, didn't get the winnings due to the servers being down when the lottery ended. One of my characters had the same thing happen with the Skirmish Starter lottery. I was really looking forward to picking up that cheese because I have never been lucky enough to find it randomly and I would love the title you get from eating it.

Since you KNOW that the servers are always down for maintenance at the same time every week, why would you schedule lotteries to end during that window of time? I could forgive it if the server unexpectedly went down and made it impossible to reward winnings of lotteries ending at that time. But this was something you KNEW would happen.

I have submitted a ticket asking for my winnings to be rewarded. It can be verified that some of my characters won lotteries that ended during the server maintenance so I don't see any reason my request would be denied.

Just trying to play Devil's advocate here, but did you make sure these were your *real* characters, not sessions play ~clones or monster players? Or perhaps a character you created on a different server?

I do not have creeps nor do I have session play characters. The characters who won it are a level 59 Warden (Fayelrian) and a level 65 Minstrel (Lorenna). I logged in just about 30 min ago and neither one had the winnings in their mail. I had to double check both characters and the Mylotro.com profile page to confirm that they had indeed won. Sure enough, the winning lottery list indicates that they did win. I checked again online, no winnings.

Besides, he said that in response to the Symbol of Celembor lottery. It did not end DURING the down-time. However, the Taste of Bree lottery DID.

I was so jazzed when I saw one of my characters had won The Taste of Bree lottery! I logged onto him, and nothing... What a letdown.

Why not verify who won during the downtime and send their winnings out? If the maintenance was scheduled, why also schedule a lottery to end during that time? I don't get it.

edited to add: my bad, I see the Cheese lottery ended later in the day, and it was for some other reason the prizes were not sent out. And I missed the follow-up Cheese lottery.

the taste of Bree lottery is recurring. it will run several times this week. It was scheduled to be 3-4 runs over the weekend, the last one overlapped the Monday maintenance window.

To make up for that one failed lottery, there will be several more throughout the week, each with more potential winners.

As we have said many times, we cannot replace items won in a lottery. The system is still considered to be in beta.
