I am still having problems connecting to the Game. When i try to launch the game, the download manager pops up and under LOTRO Siege of Mirkwood, it says available to download. However, I already have Siege of Mirkwood installed and my account information is up-to-date with an active account and lists Siege of Mirkwood. I dont know if I should launch the download as i don't want to affect the game by downloading the same update and/or be charged twice.

Ok, I tried to download Siege of Mirkwood although I already have it and it says, file already exists and contains data, so apparently the download manager knows I have Siege of Mirkwood already. So now I have no idea whats going on or if anyone else is experiencing this problem. Maybe Turbine is still working to correct this problem, I hope so.

I can get through logging in via the Turbine client, it goes through the regular process... then hangs on "Receiving Character Data".

I did get through once to character log-on, but once I selected a character and entered the game the loading screen just sat, and sat, and sat doing absolutely nothing.

I just tried to login and I crashed on the initial check in of game data, red x, says something about an unspecified patch.

Obviously everything is not fixed. This was my first login today.

update 30 minutes later, still getting crash on update game data, unspecified PATCH error.

I don't know if this counts but I just got a bunch of e-mails from lotro bug support dated from back in April thanking me for turning in bugs. It could be my e-mail being stupid but thought I'd point it out in case some one else has had this happen.

I'm on Brandywine server and can get to the character selection screen, however do not actually get to enter the game as it hangs during the entry process. Tried creating a new character on a different server (nimrodel) and the game hung when I tried to enter the game again, displaying the message "creating character"

Actually, I had a version of this myself last night...I have my account set to notify me by email when there's a reply to a thread I posted in, and last night my email suddenly filled up with about eighty notifications about threads that have been dead for months.

I have been trying to log-in for a while now. I get all the green checks but then it doesn't actually bring up the character selection screen but just times out. =(

Same issue here with the back-dated replies.

I also noticed the RSS news feed doesnt seem to be updating with new posts, and when I try to check it, it says '...the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.'

I get past the green checks on the server and get to where the game is loading and you see the logging into authentication server or whatever it says and then it gives an error saying the login server is busy.

I can finally get into game. All i had to do was get rid of Turbine's download manager and my game went through a quick client side download patch and boom, everything's fine. If you get my error as the download keeps loading and saying you have to download Mirkwood although you have it, get rid of download manager

I can log in to any server I do not have an existing character on and play normally.

However, if I create a new character on that server and log out it will not allow me to log back in.

Is this the norm? I am back or the one week trial and have been having a blast honestly. I am planning on renewing or the 6 month promo, but if the servers are going to have issues like this on a regular basis it would be a waste of money.

This is unrelated to the issues reported in this thread. I'd suggest you contact account support for the issue you're reporting.

I've been having issues where I Get the 50000 error at least 2-3 times trying to log in. When I get logged in it flashes the splash screen up and then crashes out. On the rare occasion I Get to char selection I get in game for 15-20 minutes then my char freezes and 5 mins later I Get a disconnected from server error. I can chat the whole time im frozen but cant move or do any actions..

Great welcome back week Turbine. Well done. Cancelled my AC1 sub out of sheer frustration.

I have experienced 4 client crashes in the past hour after applying the defrag tool. I use the defrag once per month and have not experienced any game crashes for the past 6 months other than today.

The crashes seem to be related to loading screen issues. 3/4 happened at the character selection screen. The first of these happened while switching toons, the last 2 while trying to open the game. On both of these attempts the old connection was successfully cleared and the crash occured while the character selection screen was loading.

I'm getting the unspecified patch error. I was in-game last night and lotroclient stopped working. When I tried to log back in, the game kept getting stuck at the examine game data with the message Unspecified patch error. Now, 14 hours later, I'm getting the same message.
