You must've misread something - no invitations or acknowledgements were sent for the applications sent in before the program went offline indefinitely earlier this year.

We intended to use the applications we collected last spring for starting a new community, however with the massive changes made to LOTRO and the subscription models, we thought it best to start all over.

When we are ready, we will be asking any players interested in participating in the Preview Program to submit a new application.

Do not send any applications now!!! Any application you send before we call for them will just be deleted, so please, wait for the announcement!

(And no, I don't know when that will be yet. )

I really doubt it was ever off the timetable. It's been stated that Isengard never got going again because it would have been to close to the Bullroarer/Free-to-Play Beta stuff. Having two test servers at the same time doesn't really seem very productive.

I'm sure that when the F2P launch smooths out we'll hear about the Isengard program once more!
