    Re: PAX Prime Seattle 2011

I wasn't able to snag a PAX pass before they sold out. I've been debating dropping by the convention center on Friday and seeing if I could find one at a halfway decent price. Don't want to miss out, we'll see how it goes.

They've posted it twice to Twitter, but not once here on the forums. So very annoying as not everyone checks Twitter.

Anyway, here's how to request an invite to the Turbine party at PAX.

Going to #PAX ? Want to come party with #Turbine Friday night? Request your invitation now. RSVP@turbine.com must be 21+ #LOTRO

+rep to you MidnyteTragedy. I would not have found it, either.

Sapience started this thread before Gamescon and I had high hopes for communication. But we're just now getting the time-sensitive info only 4 days in advance on 3rd party social media. What's the point of having a "LotRO Community (beta)" forum if you're not going to use it, Turbine?

    Re: PAX Prime Seattle 2011

According to his Twitter, Sapience got home from Gamescon yesterday, so I'm hoping he'll have the time to post something to the forums with more details.

I sent off an email for an invite, but no confirmation has been sent back. Not very reassuring.

    Editing to add:

Two new tweets regarding the Turbine Party...

"If you RSVP for our PAX Party, Invitations will be sent to you via email. You must present a printed invitation at the door. Remember, 21+."

"You can also pick up an invite on the show floor on FRIDAY AUG 26 during show hours. Our Party is Friday night at 9:00PM."

I'm getting nervous, too. I hope I get that invitation!

Anybody going to the Lotro Reporter party Thursday night? I'll be bring my copy of Fantasy Flight Games' The Lord of the Rings Card Game and teaching people to play.

Thanks for the heads up on that. Didn't know it was happening. I'll send off an RSVP.

Sadly, I just have one day to devote to PAX and LotRO. The rest of my trip will be filled with family time. I look forward to seeing folks on Friday night at the Turbine PAX Party.

Thumbs up Re: PAX Prime Seattle 2011

I was pleased to see that Tweet about picking up an invitation at the booth. I guess I can relax now.

The Turbine booth will be my first stop once I get into PAX on Friday, that's for certain.

I'm RSVP'd for the pre-PAX meetup at the Daily Grill so hopefully will meet a few fellow LOTRO peeps there.

Wink Re: PAX Prime Seattle 2011

When Moria previewed at PAX, I spent the whole three days at the Turbine booth, testing it and showing off the game to potential new players, many of whom assumed I worked for Turbine (if only!).

Just got my party invite email, so if you RSVP'd you should be seeing them soon.

    Huzzah!

So we print the blue and white "poster" that says "Party with WB Games" and lists the date and time?

    I believe so yes.

I printed both the big image, and the full email, just in case.

If you are concerned, drop by Turbine's booth, show them and ask. But the little picture should be good.
    See you guys there!

I downloaded the Guidebook app for my Android phone (it seems that Conventioneer is dead now) and loaded the PAX guide for it. I see that Turbine is in booth 932, near the center of Level 4 North.

Behold the glorious 4th floor map of PAX...

There's more on the 6th floor too...

Just about everything I want to hit first is near the Turbine booth. I'm probably spending my entire Friday in that area.

If you print them you only need the first one (as it has both maps in it)

I haven't been able to get them to print decently because of their size unfortunately.
