    Agreed.

Let's remember that hunters are the most played class and there are alot of bad hunters as well, that's why we are infamously known as huntards. You have to experience the Beta hunter for yourself.

I love the Hunter in RoI, it's alot better than it is now. The problem most nubs are having is that they are using a rotation like QS -> QS -> PS over and over, since PS is now instant. This sucks up Focus, which is something that people complain about. If you stick to a normal rotation, putting in Hunter's Art and maybe Split Shot, you will have no focus problems whatsoever.

I am liking the Hunter, and maybe this update will clear some of the bad hunters out of the way. Thank god.

    Unlike any other, in fact.

If you undervalue these potentials, why not undervalue the Burg and Champ lesser functions as well?

For sure, but my thought was focused on classes that typically fill a DPS role.

You could extrapolate that for everything in any possible case, sure. But one thing groups are always going to look for is DPS. You don't always need an interrupt. You don't even always need debuffs. You don't always need CJs. Pure DPS will get you through lots and lots and lots of content. And, yes, Hunters should be the best single-target DPS in the game.

If you want a Hunter in DPS mode, their CC suffers. What's the difference? Seen Hunters used as temporary (or main) tanks plenty of times throughout the history of LotRO and that won't change. Other than bosses that hit like Durchest, totally doable.
Built to CC they can CC as well as an LM, maybe better.

If the content dictates it. As I said above, though, Hunters have such skills as well.

The point is that, unless you're really strapped for people/classes, you usually aren't going to bring anyone for anything other than their main role. Sure, you can, but if you want things to run as smoothly as possible, you typically don't. If you know content requires an interrupt, you don't need to bring a Burg. You can bring lots of things instead, right? Who brings Burgs for the CJs to, like, anything?

Yeah, it depends on how you run your groups, but my experience is my experience - and why have someone in a semi-effective off-role if you can have someone in that role at full effect. That means Hunters pew pew. I'll never dispute that Hunters should be the top single-target DPS class. They should be. With that, their practical secondary role(s) should be that much more diminished.

I think the root of the problem is that Hunters have had it real good for the content we've been given. I can remember the days of Moria where I all but shelved my Burg. This will never happen to the Hunter. The Hunter has been LotRO's golden child for pretty much ever. You'll have to forgive my lack of sympathy to this "plight"...

    LOL

Can I steal this for my sig? This will be golden....like "No new Taxes!" "LI's grow with you!"
    Golden child...*snicker*

On topic though, I have been hearing many mixed reports in kin about the hunter. Seems playstyle is the deciding factor. Gonna be a "wait and see" for me.

Sure, but you might want to get some perspective before you mock it.

For those who dont have Hunters as a main they will probably shelf the character again feeling shafted as usual.

Thats fine for them in my opinion because it leaves people who prefer the Hunter to other classes to learn the new changes and roll with the punches.

Its a change to the class and Im sure Ill spend a few days adjusting to it but I doubt it will ruin my favorite class much.

If it does Ill then write one hell of a lengthy post on here about how I feel Im being hated on since I dont think Ive actually done that yet

Yes but now they will be more noticeably bad on whatever other class they choose.

That's pretty much how I've felt after each Hunter update. I adapt and go right back to pewpewing. /shrug The only update I remember being really mad about was when Fear was changed to break on damage because I was having a lot of fun beating the tar out of mobs while they ran away.
