Theres a Treasure Hunters Lottery going on right now with a mining pick as a reward. Is this a hint that the Tresure Hunt event is coming with the Yule festival?

No offense but who was the genius at turbine that chose to run something like when most of the people in the US are either eating dinner or still at work.And to say nothing of the people around the world that are in bed.Did turbine fire most of there staff and hire all interns in the last year or so.

Well i played that treasure hunting and it was fun, i hope they will put it back on with festival next week.
Here is photo of me and my friend with new emote and new mask we got from coins that we dig last night (the hunting started when it was 01:00am my time, luckly i was online so i joined, it lasted for only 2h)

I was able to join in the fun for the Treasure hunt and I thought it was a blast. As an avid mount collector I was also very pleased with the horse associated with it!

As an added bonus, it drops gold coins as you ride about. How much fun is that?! This horse is a win for me!

I think you should, I'm almost postive that it will be used when the yule fest comes around. At least that is my guess.

Yeah -1 for running this 3-5 pm PST. Its not like most colleges are even on winter breaks yet. I dont know what exactly you were hoping to gain by only having stay-at-home parents and the unemployed able to play this sneak peek...

It strikes me as very much like why they sometimes announce things on Twitter, which isn't even a Turbine app, instead of on their very own official sites and forums until later: They don't care about having a lot of participants, nor do they care about being fair. They want to generate "buzz" that is, excitement, for whatever it is they want to generate excitement about. In this case it's adding a new 'fun' feature that can be turned on or off at their discretion, called Treasure Hunt. It wasn't released for a couple hours to include everyone, it was released to generate desire. My opinion of course. ;>)
