Ok, that matches what I got (though my sample size from my own characters was too small to make the connection). It still sounds like a bug, though, presumably in the table that provides the names for the horse and pony versions of the mount. What should probably have been "Horse of the Dusk-watch" and "Pony of the Dusk-watch" ended up with the names of two different mounts instead of two versions of the same mount.

One of the permanent NPCs near the Bree rep house will now trade for those, and that's supposed to remain in place (though trading them for gift boxes from the Keeper of Gifts will only be available during the festival).
I read on the initial bulliten that you'll be able to trade in the tokens for skirmish marks after the event... don't know about the gift boxes though...

The 'Anniversary Tokens' will just sit in your wallet until next year... unless the Devs allow their use in some other event down the road. They're like race-win tokens... I've had some forever...

Re: Anniversary 2012 Developer Diary Feedback

I really had a blast doing these quests! (ugh, that pun truly was not intended... but I'll leave it.) My favorites were the organized firework displays and the envelope hunting. I didn't like chasing the envelopes, but they were pretty swirling around in town. I DID feel clever finding new places for the stationary ones (hahaha! pun intended that time)... and my 2 year old was surprisingly good at seeing those sparkles - she discovered several locations I hadn't known about until I did the quest with her on my lap, helping! The 4yo (he has his own character on my account) completely loved chasing the envelopes - you got belly laughs out of him on that one. I know they're not your target audience but they liked it, too. It was soooooooo nice to be able to turn in tokens for marks, too!

Was really surprised and pleased at how gorgeous the Dusk-watch and Lossoth steeds were; I'd have been pleased to turn in the 40 tokens for those instead of (or along with) the Fireworks horses. (I thought the anniversary horse was hideous, though. *shrug* no prob, didn't buy one.) But I'm enjoying my shiny new loot and what horses I did find (one each of dusk and lossoth, on separate characters; interestingly, the char who won the dusk horse got it three times, and none of the others did).

I'll echo that it was kind of tough to get enough tokens on everybody, between the 48-hour cooldown on the easy ones (gifts) and the lack of people on to play with during my normal play hours and the competition for the sparking an interest locations. My computer broke down, so I missed most of 4 days in the game, but even playing religiously all throughout the day on all the other days of the festival, I only made it to 40 tokens on one of my characters (well, two, but the second didn't have two race tokens and so didn't get the horse). The other characters got about 20-30 each, and let me just repeat that I spent a several hours a day doing nothing but festival quests during the days before my computer died.

And again, always wishing that horses won were bound to account.

    Thanks, guys!

First few days of the festival you could do this quest, after that it seemed people did not bother with this one.
