There are lots of possibilities for seeing things for which your characters weren't physically present, and this is definitely one of those times. How might things have been different if your characters *had* been there? Well, for one, if the Fellowship isn't broken, the Ring might not have been OMG SPOILERS destroyed.

I can imagine fighting the unwinnable fight as Boromir will be very fun. Make it repeatable. Add in deeds for how long you can hold out...or how many foes you bring down with you...or both...

New survival skirmish anyone?
