    I cancelled my account weeks ago cause I knew this maintinance was coming and it would cause all kindsa problems, so what does turbine do, they continue billing anyway and so Ive cancelled again....still no confirmation email(Iguess thats so they can claim it wasnt cancelled)

    Hopefully we'll get our points before the current sales end. I want to buy a couple of LI cap increases while they're on sale.

    Also, did anyone else get excited about this weeks sale? I thought I was going to get a free Tier VIII Stat Tome until I read it properly and realized it was for rapid crafting instead.
    Still, freebies are freebies.

    For my first post on this forum, I would like to know if there is any news about the 250 TP gift that was promised ? We got the new message about XP & chest boost (which needs buying keys from lotro shop...) but no news about the first point...

    They haven't given out the 250 TP yet. It's promised, but they said they would give them out when they were ready to do it, not when ungrateful little children jumped up and down and had a fit about it.

    I'm not a little child even if I'm new to lotro. And I am not playing for free. Gratefulness isn't the question here I just want to know if turbine confirmed what it said (nobody forced them to announce that) They told something but are doing something else as far as I can read till now (XP & chests bonuses)... ? Why are they waiting ? We didn't even know why the game was broken for so long... Do you ?

    Correct. No one forced us. We did it on our own, voluntarily and with forethought. Becuase of that we made it very clear that we would begin awarding the points and time when we were confindent the service was restored and stable.

    Additive, not replacement. We're doing more than we said we would do, not replacing one thing with another.

    Why are they waiting ?
    As stated when we made the annoucement and several times since the game came back up, when the service is up and stable we'll begin awarding points and game time. This may also be a sequential event and not concurrent (meaning we will likely do one before the other, probably points first). In fact we confirmed earlier this week that points would start showing up towards the end of the week.

    We didn't even know why the game was broken for so long... Do you ?
    Yes. We have said a number of times why the game was down (we pre-announced it more than a week ahead of time) and stated a number of times during the maintenance window that the billing system maintenance and upgrades we performed did not go as planned and we encountered a number of issues that had to be resolved. Once we reached a state where we could open the game worlds, we did. The store, billing, and other services came online as we were confident we'd resolved any major issues.


    Finally, because this literally came to my mailbox as I was typing this post, CS has confirmed that players will start seeing their 250 poitns starting later today. I was asked to remind everything that this is not an instant process and it will not be delivered to everyone at once. Some will see their points before others. We ask you be patient and wait until we announce that all points were awarded before contacting support.

    Amusing, we are waiting for 9+ months to get all we paid real 70USD for, but some people cry for the 250TP being said they will receive last week...

    Just as a clarification, as i usually follow developments on the facebook page rather than on these forums. I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about the free VIP days that were promised as it was stated on the facebook page?

    As a thank you for your understanding and patience during this downtime, all Premium and VIP players who have logged into their account in the past 30 Days (as of 6:00AM Eastern time on 2/14/2013) will receive 250 Turbine points. In addition, all VIP players who have logged in during the same period will have their accounts credited 1 day of VIP time for each day of downtime, plus 1 additional day. All points and additional time will be granted automatically as soon as our regular service is restored and stable.

    Personally ive recieved my 250 TP but my account still shows my account will end on the 3rd of march, like it did when i subbed this month and as it states "All points and additional time will be granted automatically as soon as our regular service is restored and stable." So all i wanted clarification on is, does anyone know if that time will be automatically credited or will we have to wait for it as havent seen anything said about it on fb by the devs?

    All the folks eligible for the 250 TP

    should have been awarded, per Turbine.

    I did have an account that didn't get it, but fixing it was a simple matter of calling Account Support and being patient for about 15 minutes on hold.

    Open up your purchase history in the store, it should show a credit for CS Bonus. If not, open up a support ticket, or give them a call.

    I got my 250 but I still haven't gotten my February 500 TP despite requests sent to Support. That is the frustrating one.
