You are correct on the LI bug #1. If you forget to rename your weapon BEFORE you imbue it then you can't link it in chat. Apparently, if your first age weapon has the default name (like "Reshaped Hunter's Sword of the First Age") it is too long and you can't show it in chat. However, since you can't re-forge Imbued Legendary Weapons which is where we used to rename them you are stuck with weapon that cant be linked in chat so your friends can't see it.

We need an Imbued Legendary weapon name change scroll or some other way to change the name.

Exclamation Stonehelm Heavy Shield Skin Have Shrunk

I used the new Bug Report today but not sure if the image I tried to attach acctually got attached as it behaved weird as I tried to submit. For that reason I also make this bug report here and link to the image as it shows the graphical bug I want to report.

The Stonehelm Shield (heavy shield) skin has somehow shrunk significantly after Update 17 or possibly one of the fixes that followed. At least I did not notice it being this tiny before Update 17 and I recently returned to LoTRO with The Server move. I am 100% it used to be bigger as I have screenshots of it from before.

I truly hope this is by accident and not intentional, as now it looks way too small to be a heavy shield. In my opinion it looks almost redicolous in this tiny version. Especially on a heavy armour class character that it is intenden for like A Guardian.

I did notice it after Update 17 and before November 18th. As servers went down today on November 18th I’m guessing another fix/patch but this shrinking of the shield happened before that.

While on some older before pictures I might have taken prinstcreen on lower setting, that only accounts for some details being more blurry but definetly not the shield size and
some pictures was taken with pretty much the same graphic settings.

On one picture I’m not wearing the same shoulder piece but that shouldn’t affect shield size, so not relevant.

On the picture of the dressingroom (the old before picture) was taken fairly long ago even before some functionality like zooms were added in wardrobe. I couldn’t find a newer one on my HD. However
also that should be irrelevant for the size of the shield.

I have also tried to recreate as close as possible the same angles on the new screenshots to match the before screenshots. That should make it pretty clear how significantly
    this shield skin has shrunk.

My guess is that it somehow has gotten the prefix to the skin of the non heavy shield skin with same look. Yes there is a skin with same look that
for example minstrels can wear and that have always been smaller than the heavy shield version.

Hopefully with this reported it can be fixed back to the same size as before and again look like a truly Heavy Shield.

I have been using this Shield ever since I could get it back in the days when LvL cap was 50. Especially for screenshots, so it’s preciousss to me.

No flags marking discovered locations in Central Gondor?

Is this a bug or intentional? My first thought was that the developers have switched to using a third party mapping tool and forgot that to add the flags. I can install all kinds of mods to the interface, but I'm wondering if it is now mandatory? I've never used one before so if it's now necessary, would you please let me know which one you recommend? Not being sarcastic, just trying to complete quests.

There are also no colored areas on the map for any repeatable quest. For example, the Roving Corsairs "south of Ringlo Vale" do not provide a map hint in color. Nor do the farther away 3x quest for corsairs that are bestowed by Jajax. I'm pretty sure I got a colored area the first time I did it and for many of the quests in Ringlo Vale, so this might be new. Without reputation buffs, I got to Friend standing only before I ran out of quests and now have to do the repeatables. A few more quests to solo would be nice since it's unlikely people will flock to kill those roving threats anymore. Though I plan to try the small fellowship ones as a duo.

I am currently at Linhir and it is still not marking discovered locations, though sometimes colored indicators do appear in this area, but these are not repeatable quests so the latter might not be significant.

I see the flags in my Central Gondor map, are you sure have selected the "point of interest" option in your map?

typical event of bug report in scome cases

I am personally never reporting a Bug again after recent experiences,

    you find a bug,
you retry it to confirm is bugged,
you ask in world chat if it is known.... (waste of time cause of Trolls & you not sure who to believe)
    you submit a ticket
    you wait an hour...
you wait another hour...... still no response.
you get fed up & decide to take a break & do RL stuff like eat.
    you log back in
    you check Track Tickets...
you see Response to your Bug Report...
your FUMING at the response which reads.....
we are unable to resolve or reply to your ticket as you were unresponsive/away/offline when we tried to contact you, if you have any other issues in the future please feel free to get in touch with us *+signed GM*

An automated "Newly Reported Bug" list would be nice; so we know we are not all reporting a bug they already know about.

Unless of course, they only deal with bugs when loads of people complain, in which case forget what I said!!

Just reported one where I randomly get big blocks of coding instead of my bags being opened. It started about 2 weeks ago, and has now got MUCH worse.

You can report bugs via the SSG website:

    https://help.standingstonegames.com/hc/en-us

Create an account (separate from your LOTRO account)
    https://help.standingstonegames.com/...-Help-Account-

After validating an account you can click on the Contact Support button which will take you here
    https://help.standingstonegames.com/...s/requests/new

If you click the arrow on the input window there are a number of choices here including the last one "I would like to report a bug"
This gives you a form - name, character, server, location, etc.

I only use the in-game system for gold spam reporting and once when I got stuck in an instance that couldn't advance, nor could I leave it. I think I even re-logged and came back to the same stuck place.

    yeah necro inc...

I strongly object to this procedure. By the time I get through all that I seriously do not want to post a bug. I should be able to type, at the very minimum:
/bug ;loc ;target will not advance my quest.
then get a popup with everything but a text box for a longer description.
Its my account that I'm using so they already have on file...
    1. my email
    2. my name
    3. my account user login
    4. my toon's name
    5. my toons level and class
    6. where I am using the /loc command
    7. the short description
    8. my platform and machine info from previous bugs

I should see a page with all this infomation and be able to change what is not accurate, like if I changed my name or computer or had to log in another toon to report the issue. Everything is available to SSG. Hell, if I'm honest I shouldn't have to tell them what game I'm playing cuz I'm actually filing the bug from the game I'm playing. From my PoV it doesnt seem like they use that anyway...

of course if anyone gets ahold of my account I'm screwed
    ...
Sig looked hideous so I sent it to its room. It can come back and
show off after it has thought about what it did.

Yup. Reporting bugs is very tedious. However, as they ignore bugreports anyway... I just stop making them. If they actually start to care about the german community, I might go back to the german client. but as long as they ignore bugreports for plain textissues for much more than a year... i quit doing them.

sorry to hear that. perhaps it has somethign to do with having a person to translate? I mean, if there is no update to work on localization, why would they keep someone around? I don't know how many you needed to report, or still do, but is it enough to justify a full time person to translate?

Till eastern Gondor, text issues usually were corrected with the next big update. That would make sense, if they hire translaters for the update and let them have a look at the little fixes, too. However, those translaters are there while beta is up, or it doesnt make sense that german text usually comes within the later beta builds. So if they are there, they should be able to do fixes. And at least with the next big upgrade, they should be able to.
Just to have a number... When the north-ithilien update came (~18months ago afair), I attended to all beta rounds and reported all bugs I could find. All of them went live. And all of them are still live today. It was something like 80 bugs with texts. So fixing them might take an hour or two, depending on how the systems work. The wastes were better, just like 20-30 bugs afair and Mordor was/is a complete mess. In Mordor, its not even at a level where I'd start with german text issues as several quests are not even translated at all. The same in the newest update (my spamfolder has 52 mails from SSG currently, plus 32 in non-spam-folder, those bugreports are not all textissues though (maybe 10 non-text-bugs). like 10-20 are from replaying far anorien with the last toon I'll ever play there, rest is u22 stuff).

When I reported all those text bugs in northern ithilien (each one via the bug reporting tool), I made a list on my Computer, too. When I was through with all of them, I sent that list to QA-people and someone (I think it was cordovan) even replied to me and told me they looked at it and agree that most of what I found actually are bugs. Still, after having looked at them and declared them as bugs, they couldnt put in the extra work to just fix them? That doesnt make sense. If you have time to check if something is bugged and fixing is so simple (its just text, no mechanics or anything, not even sounds (although there are/were several english sounds in german client, too)), then why dont you just do it? The only answer I can find here is plain ignorance. And if SSG ignores me trying to help them make the game better... Then I'll just not do it.

Bugs are a fact of life in LOTRO. There are existing REPORTED bugs that have been around since I started playing 4 yrs ago that are still awaiting repair and I am not just talking about textual bugs. Graphics issues, unexpected crashes, DirectX glitches and bugged quests are the norm especially after new content is posted. You know, bugs reported in beta that SHOULD have been repaired before release but for some unknown reason still remain.

Check out this one example, a bug(?) I haven't seen posted yet but is rather curious. Examine the image closely, see anything strange?

Yup, a crafted and Unequipped piece of armor I made that was in my bags awaiting upload to the AH suffered damage like equipped gear in battle normally would. Any unequipped gear in your bags seems to suffer the same fate. (and yes trolls, it is very cheap to repair, that's not the point)

Our latest producers Letter states that improvements to QoL (Quality of Life) will be made in an upcoming update ... maybe we'll get lucky and have a "bug-fix" update to remedy some of the more annoying issues that have fallen on deaf ears

p.s. I was originally gonna post the above on the bug report page but after consideration thought that this public venue might get more attention

    Explanation to your "bug":

Only equipped gear suffers damage from normal fights.
In those cases, its random when those damage hits occur and they always occur in steps of 1.

If you get deafeated, ALL equipment suffers 10% durability loss. Doesnt matter if equipped or just stored in your inventory.
Just think about it as if the guy that defeated you looted you. Like you would do, if you defeated him.
And btw: durability loss by defeat only happens on defeat by fight. Falling-defeats or something like that doesnt affect durability (the floor cant loot you after it killed you).

    ANyone else getting this issue?

I just went to get some L95 Improved Woodworker recipes and it tells me I do not have the required skill level; oh yes I do!!! I am at max rep with the Woodworkers Guild.

    L95 & L100 Legendary recipes are fine.

GM tells me they cannot help and submit a bug report.
Went through filling out the whole form, and got an "OOOPS" message.

    Bug Report is bugged again.

    Filed a bug report.

Questing in Evendim (Evernight), with my L110 Hunter, some corpses are dropping L300 gear - jewellery and armour pieces. Not sure if it is intended or not, or if they are giving drops based on character level; certainly not come across this before; it used to be all around L36 stuff.

After posting this last night, it seems very crowded here today......

    EDIT

Not had any L300 gear today, so it might have been sorted; bad luck for the crowd of players running around the Guaraden warren and Giants camp looking for corpses.
