    I don't understand one thing.
If you don't trust to vBulletin security login script why do you use this software?
Why do you cut other harmless functions?

You should better search of a vBulletin specialist and ask him if these cutting and repleacing of function scripts are really more secure as the vBulletin software offers.

That's not arrogant. It's not mean. It's the blunt, honest truth.
'Tilting at windmills': The phrase is sometimes used to describe confrontations where adversaries are incorrectly perceived, or to courses of action that are based on misinterpreted or misapplied heroic, romantic, or idealistic justifications.

I actually think the Don Quixote clads his armour and goes off on an adventure he ends up happier than those that stayed at home and did nothing!

'So, as I have said already, however bizarre a situation and however devastating a defeat may be, the genius of Don Quichote's internal rhetorics will gain the upper hand.'

'Now, the indisputable material existence of objects that we encounter in this world often blinds our eyes to the fact that these objects need perhaps not be there in the first place. For a critical mind like that of Cervantes the windmills – like all other machines before and ever after - need not be there, in fact 'like giants' they should be exterminated from the face of the earth. But this is impossible, as the defeat of Don Quixote implicitly tells us. In other words, even though the windmills are real, their purpose, their function, the idea behind them is just as fantastic as the idea of giants.'

Fantastic book - read it all, and not the kids version!

Be inspired to don your own armour and go 'tilt at windmills'

The world can always be changed, but it will never change if it isn't pushed!

Maybe an amazing technological way of maintaining Forum/website security will be found in the future without the need to force log off USERS...

    Call the process: 'windmill tilting'

    Tempest in a Teacup

    From The Free Dictionary:

    tempest in a teacup and
tempest in a teapot - an argument or disagreement over a very minor matter.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess that I must be an "atypical forum user" but I'm not really comprehending the angst over this issue. I log in, check lotteries, scan for various topics and get on with my life. I prefer to spend my time in the game anyway.

“And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend. Legend became myth. And for two and a half thousand years, the ring passed out of all knowledge.”
? J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings

Following up to my post back at #59, regarding making the new forums a little easier to use/look at, I found the thread I was looking to reference back to:

This thread is a collection of resources folks on the DDO side have come up with. Some, like the log-in bookmarklet, can easily be modified to work over here.

    Thread on DDO foums: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/420794

One comment as I roll back 'n forth from one forum to another - the forums here are in better shape than ours over there. Therefore, take heart. They could be worse than what ya have now.

(edit: apologies if anyone has already done this kind of thing for LOTRO forums, making these DDO resources redundant. I didn't see any, but my search-fu is sometimes weak.)

    Brandy: Cupcakes of Doom.
    Landro: Trueheart Companions.
