Just after 12.1, I did Library challenge as Champ (solo, faceroll like before, direct to bosses by pulling/killing all mobs at same time) and I got...
an Agility pocket and a bracelet with Block rating !

That was a good read. Here's my 2 cents: I thought it was cool that at the end of the Epics, I got a symbol for my SA and just enough tokens to buy another, my muster skill, the shoulders, and a couple shards. I find the new loot very customizable, and even ended up with a couple pieces of might bling. I was super happy to see the crafted on par with raid gear because of the 100s of hours put into it. It filled in the gaps nicely and I feel like spending my stack of gold was worth it, after the shards stopped dropping. I found a nice shield in the skirm camp, and some boots in a barrow. HD is too laggy for my 2 year old PC, so that isn't an option atm.
My point is this: I went all over the new areas to get my gear, and did a lot of content. I think having a "map" to where it is, in the form of a loot list is awesome. I don't want to do a T2c 7 times to maybe get the gold drop that "that guy" got on a T1 the first try. And, I don't want to do BFE 50 times to, not, get some barely increased super set.
I'm a PVMPer, luv it. And I got my shinies just in time for the 95 sets to come out. Looking forward to the changes, in about 30 minutes.

This has probably been asked several times, but is there any marginal chance of having the old challenge chests back pre-Helm's Deep? Back when they rewarded everyone with individual loot rather than giving 1-3 items which everyone has to roll/pass on. Right now, people are skipping the challenges; combined with the removal of seals from the lower size instances and the loss of individual loot they just aren't worth their reward, and that's even with today's update which ensures each challenge chest rewards an incomparable.

I assume the agility pocket came from the challenge chest. Challenge chests apparently drop 1 guaranteed teal, which is chosen at random and independently of the classes of the people inside the instance, which you can roll on. If you're the only person in the instance, it will automatically go into your inventory instead of popping up as an item to be rolled on. The mechanics don't change, however.
I expect the reason for it to work like this is because we asked for it; I have seen numerous posts requesting each T2C to at least drop 1 guaranteed teal. Since the only way they can make it a 100% drop is probably to do it through the traditional loot system instead of remote looting, otherwise everyone in the group would get a teal. And because it's the traditional loot system, it can't, and shouldn't, check which classes are inside the instance.
I believe it's working exactly as intended and has been tested properly. We asked for it, and we got it. So we should either be happy with it, or think better about what we request next, rather than complain about it and point fingers.
As I noted above, people asked for a guaranteed teal from instances, and they got it. I expect the only way to ensure this happens is by using the traditional loot system. I also believe a guaranteed teal is enough to make people want to do most challenge modes (with some exceptions like IotF and WP, in which challenge makes the run take twice as long).
I do agree the other challenge loot could be spiced up a bit. Like in the past, they should drop ~5-10 runes/relics for people to roll on, which would increase the reward value of the chest. Also, a somewhat higher chance on star-lit crystals and crystals of remembrance would be nice.

A similar thing happened to me last night: ran Library on my Burglar, completed it solo, and I got a teal set of light leggings with Will, Vit, and Tactical Mastery. I'm happy though - at least I can use them as Mischief-maker equipment for the increased healing![]()

The issue isn't with the loot, the problem here is the instances on challenge mode are too easy so you don't need a healer who could use that loot.
Also I can't understand the claims people will skip the challenge now? True there are no seals anymore, but I have never gotten a piece of gear from a challenge quest, only runes/relics and an occasional scroll. The guaranteed teal from a challenge chest is a nice addition to your individual loot from the tier 2 chest. I actually prefer the traditional loot system, others prefer the individual loot system, I guess we got a bit of both
However if you look at it more abstractly... getting all purples with a chance of it being a teal or getting all teals with a chance of it being for you, what is the difference?
Edit: I am assuming you acquired that piece from the challenge quest.
