I also received 1 of those codes to buy the discount for family members, after i bought mine. The code is different for each person, probably a 1-time use.
A discount is a discount. Don't have to be 50% of to help you buy the expansion for all family members. Is still a nice gesture. Be thankful for what you received.

part of it reads like I need to use MY helms deep PRODUCT code for this to work... THEN apply the PROMO code for the discount.
part of it reads like it is non-transferable... part reads like it is transferable

heres my question: can I give this to a firend, or does it have to be used on an account in MY family? there are four accounts in my family, the three that don't have HD could all use TP to buy it.

Hi everyone. Just to alleviate some confusion here:
1. Yes, you can give the promo code to a friend. They can then use the promo code upon checkout to see the discount.
2. You can apply the coupon code on multiple purchase of Helm's Deep (i.e. adding 4 copies of Helm's Deep to your cart and all 4 copies will get the discount).
3. The coupon code is 1 time use only, meaning once it is used it will no longer give the 15% discount. So if you plan to purchase multiple copies, you will need to purchase all of them in one transaction.
4. The 15% discount applies to the Helm's Deep expansion packs only, but not the Legendary Item Pack, 5000 TP, or the Quad Pack.

Excuse me??? First off, I won't be buying for any family members & 2nd, there are many here who wait for the 50%. They always go on sale at 50% at some point. Lastly I only stated that I will be waiting for the 50% offer, as I am sure there are others who are doing the same. I have that right.
Hm, I got one of these codes from a friend and went to buy it at store.lotro.com, but I didn't see anywhere to add the code at checkout. Has anyone used this and could tell me what I missed?

I believe one of the stores (turbine) gives a code you can apply afterwards to any Lotro account (so you can gift it, buy it for family members, ...), while the other store (Lotro) requires you to login into your account and adds the purchased item to your account automatically, for your convenience.
Just to confirm... I clicked the link in the promotion e-mail, went to the store, applied the coupon code, bought another HD pack with a discount, received the order confirmation e-mail, then logged on to my other account and tried to apply the received product code (or unlock code). All it says is "The Product Key you entered is not valid for use". The promo e-mail said specifically that "your product key can be shared via e-mail or even applied to another account you may have", so I wonder what I did wrong here. Cannot contact customer support from my account page, there is some sort of maintenance...
Upd.: The maintenance is over and everything worked as intended, the key worked, everything's fine, sorry for being impatient.![]()

Thanks for the info. I must admit I don't find it convenient to have 2 stores which each seem to have slightly differing offers (and multiple threads here would suggest others have the same issue of confusing the two). I'd find it much more convenient to have one store which gives me the option of gifting purchases.

For further clarification... I bought Helm's Deep as a pre-order for myself (enjoying it fine so far!), but I never got a discount coupon. It would have made a nice late November/early December mathom for a friend *grin*. So is there someplace I could go to request one? Because 15% off would make the difference between ordering this, or getting something else.
When i got mine, the email was diverted to the junk folder, even when i have turbines mails marked as secure. There is a chance that same happened to you. I didn't lost the coupon because i have set my account to don't automatically delete mail until after i check the folder.
