Does anyone know when the beta will be open for testing?

As Hyos stated. Turbine will post an announcement. From what I remember the announcement of the next Beta is posted when Turbine begins the process of building the Beta load, installing the Beta load on Bullroarer. The announcement might be issued on a Monday with this kind of statement "Our current plan is to open Bullroarer on Wednesday for ...".

The next major update is 15 which will be the last major update for 2014. It was a little less than a month ago that 14.1 was released. The big question is whether there will be a 14.2. If so then we are now entering the time period where Turbine would be getting ready to test or deploy a point release to live. Some point release go straight from internal testing to live. They are never deployed to Bullroarer.

We will have to wait. Check back frequently to see if there has been an announcement.

A 14.2 is coming. I cannot find the reference right now but it will include a fix to the Dol Amroth docks quest with turtles, as this quest is locked now waiting for a fix.

This is what Kehleyr posted when closing u14 beta:

Bullroarer will be closed for testing at 1:00 PM Eastern time, 07/07/14.

So that kinda implies BR won't open up for any of the 14.x updates.

I expect u15 to go live end november (BR end october?), but that's not really based on anything.

True, we don't plan to open Bullroarer for any Previews of U14 updates at this time.

U15 will most likely get a series of Preview sessions (we usually call anything that's not paid expansions Previews rather than Betas - for some reason we screwed that up for U14 ), however a schedule has not been established for that yet.

There will be announcements when/if we make that call.
