    Noob reflection: The Lotro Community

I am not a big game player, but occasionally a game locks on to me and I dive in in full obsession mode. As has happened with LOTRO

I just wanted to write to say I applaud and heartily approve of the LOTRO Community.
Unlike other games I have played online whose communities are, shall we say less than mature. I have found the LOTRO community to be very helpful and generous with their time and advice and even a little in-game cash that has helped me find my way through the beginning stages of the game

both during online play and in these forums you guys have been awesome.

and while every barrel of ointment may have a fly or two, this is by far the best group of people I have ever seen on line.

I think devotion to the story, adds to the feeling of the community and then the game environment is awesome....its funny you can kill everything from pigs to dwarves to goblins, and yet feel peaceful

I just wanted to give you all two thumbs way up for making this noob feel welcome and as I transition from noob to experienced player I will remember the lessons you have taught me and pass them on

    Glad to have you here!

We have our less than stellar moments here in the forums, to put it mildly, but it's a pretty good bunch of people here.

I'm coming close to my ninth year here, and I still play almost everyday. Fantastic game.

For the main part my experience with the LOTRO in-game community has been very positive. I have met some very nice people along the way, who showed a lot of enthusiasm in offering help, advice and fellowship. Joining a small crowd in Bree, dancing and cheering with them is always so much fun.

    Told ya he's a keeper.

I think this is the first time anyone has ever been welcomed like this Hardesty. You are a gem. (don't make me regret saying that *cackle*)

Sig looked hideous so I sent it to its room. It can come back and
show off after it has thought about what it did.

People who keep trying to make that distinction... sigh. Saying you're a noob doesn't make you the definition above. Someone calling you a noob doesn't make the above true either. Get over yourselves and your pathetic classifications.

    And to the OP, welcome.
I'd explain it to you, but I'm all out of Puppets and Crayons.
