Going to move heaven and earth to make sure that I have time to do the special 10th anniversary episodic content. Will the 4 episodes be spread out over the time that it is on? Life can be unpredictable and it would be nice if we got some extra time to make sure that we can get all the contents done. Thanks SSG for doing something special for this big anniversary!!!![]()
I second this. To my horror, I just learned that my ISP can officially take between 14-30 days to transfer the service, when I move to a new place at the beginning of May, meaning I will most likely lose the second half of this unique event. So, if you can extend it just by one week, that might literally make all the difference for me.
Until the event ends
seems pretty unambiguous.
The last bit of episodic content will be available a shorter time but apparently entirely doable in its entirety even if a gamer is not logged on until the last days of the event.
Means it's not a means to have you logged on more often.
Or you could be jumping to the conclusion that they won't be
It's speculative for sure, but possible - eitherway. The Devs in this thread haven't corrected the speculation that it's episodic, so there is hope yet.
Plus, they don't really need to be linked to be episodic. Think of it like episodes of Friends, all different.
Sometimes, no matter how hard you look, there is no best light.
I haven't jumped to any conclusions, on the contrary I was doing the opposite by asking where the notice about episodic content was, and commenting that no one has yet provided any evidence of the dev's intent.
Don't get me wrong, I greatly enjoyed Bingo and even though Wednesday was the day I worked two jobs, I always found time (usually 10:30pm) to log on and do each episode as it occurred. Would love to experience that again. But that's not what was announced from what I can tell.
And frankly, I'm okay with being surprised by whatever direction they take.
The whole game (and all of its quests) is episodic from that perspective. The appeal of the 'episodic content' was the central story driving it.Plus, they don't really need to be linked to be episodic. Think of it like episodes of Friends, all different.

Ooops. Sorry lol. (Hobbit looking shamefully down at furry feet). Got the 2 events mixed up. So, to be clear, it's the usual Anniversary event April 20-May 9 then a special event at the same time but lasting to July 13. Got it. Still not clear about the episodic content though. 3 unlocks each week. So is that going to be 12x3 (36 episodic content) ? Right on top of regular Anniversary event will keep all my toons busy. Thanks for pointing out my mistake middlediscworld! Even Hobbits have off days lol![]()
As others have asked....I'd also be interested in knowing if this is something that all levels can partake in or if the later episodes a higher level character is needed....
My highest lvl character is only 20 something so even with Bingo I only went so far in those quests...but as has also been said...no worries as will catch them up again at a later lvl...but if these quests are only around a limited time would be nice to know if my character is capable of doing all the quests in the time allotted.
The latest update notes indicate these are "scavenger hunt" quests, not episodic content.
People really do everyone else a dis-service by raising expectations reporting inaccurately on what the developers are reporting.
Would have loved more episodic content, but am quite happy at the prospect of a scavenger hunt, particularly because one of the devs mentioned elsewhere it will be taking us back to older content areas. Love Ered Luin, Lonelands, etc. and look forward to having tangible things to do there once more, if that is the case.
