You CAN trait in every possible tree at the same time. not even additional costs like for normal traittrees.
actually, traittrees for mounted combat are completely different, if you look at light/midde/heavy steed.
mounted combat doesnt allow to trait everything. epic battles do. you can even get enough points to get all three at rank6. not enough to trait everything, but there is enough useless stuff anyway.

In reality one is more useful. You can get full platinum medals solo on each BB with Engineer, you're going to seriously struggle doing the same with Officer and Vanguard is just pointless. Ignoring that one spec is more useful is just being willfully ignorant.

I meant that more alongside that you can get all of the universal steed bonuses and most of the blue/red/yellow traits.

Well, even a bear is more polite and has actually a chain of thought one can follow. Is it now "more useful" or is it "anyone who thinks a line outside of engineer is important in BB's is wrong"? I guess everything should have stopped at this point and we ought to marvel at your genius revelation you so graciously provided. Nobody is wrong, it's a ####ing game.
You are "wrong", everyone else is "right".
You don't get to tell people that the only way to play and to win is to do it your way or the highway. Because it isn't.
Is engineer a strong line? Yes. But to say that it is the only line one might need and to ignore everything else this game provides just because you think it's the right way to play and everything else is abuse, exploit and other moral high grounds you want to claim after years of not fixing this so-called abuse is... I don't even have a word for it. It's the equivalent of yelling "fake news" as long as it doesn't suit you.
So, just play your game and stop telling people they should be you. Nobody wants to be that.

Yes, it's a game. People actually can be wrong in a game. Calm down and quit hurling insults, it's childish and wholly unhelpful to any reasonable discussion.

I'm not happy about this....As a minstrel, a lot of times I'm asked to get up to 6 anthems going at the start of a fight....with the 1 minute cool down this will be impossible to sustain the anthems before hand and swap back to my blue trait line.....
Some would call this an exploit, others would call it strategy, others call it maximizing the potential of their character. I personally call it an exploit. Exploits are using fundamental systems of the game to gain an advantage that was not intended by the developers. Was it intended? Only they can answer that.

Oh, how much would I like to have a DEV declare how some things in the game were intended to work instead of endless discussions amongst players about which is an exploit and which not... #barrage #usingbuffsofothertraitlines #farmraids #goldfarmers #ashsystem #ignoringmosttrashmobsininstan ces #Naerband #listgoeson

    farmraids exploit?

if i can go inside an area with a raid and kill stuff to get stuff im basically playing the core concept of an mmo. imho, in no way, can a farmraid be labeled an exploit.

was the loot that dropped off of mobs WAI? that's another story ...

yea, actually #farmraids #goldfarmers are just symptoms of what I should have labeled #lootsystem or #multiplyingloot
those farmraids would just never have happened the way they did without such an exploitable lootsystem. ooops, started stating my opinion again :P

Having a 24man group in a 3-6man quest area doing laps and some of those afk-following for hours to gain benefit certainly isn't something anyone intended. That is why they are forced to say that rep isn't intended to drop in the Wastes, even though it dropped in the whole game prior to it where rep items existed, and that is why they are forced to say the items aren't intended as drops from the landscape, even though they did drop for 10+ years.
But we're diverging from the changes they are proposing now...

I surely hope they put the fix in and have another beta test before going live. The was not enough time to find all the bugs.

    Build swapping

First of all I disagree with people saying: fix this exploit correctly from technical side (remowing buffs from fellowship after swap) or leave this issue. If our devs could - they would make it already (cause this is very old bug). So they strongly lack something - time, resourses, technical knowledge - we don't know. So we can help them with different ideas - that's creative way to make our game better.

    My solution to devs:

Disable build swapping in Mordor cluster instances. I understand that some bosses need this option so ppl go outside > swap > go in. This may take 1-2 minutes but ok, cause we have only 3 bosses in Abyss, and totally resolve our issue with -20% incoming damage RK's, captain shields from yellow, hunters traps and even mini's ballads. The key of this change is teleportation banners. So if you deside (in future) to apply this for some old instances (cause some of them are too long for run from the start point) or may be new - place tp banners to 15-20 sec distance run till the boss which they lead to.

Hope this will help. Thank you.

    Trait tree cooldown

1min cd for swapping trait trees is a bad way to go about fixing this imo. You can wait out the 1min cd do the buffs and instantly swap for the traits you want for the fight.

How about a 15sec induction to swap trees? This would give the desired effect. It would also mean accidentally swapping to the wrong tree wouldn't screw you over for 1min, you could realize during the induction and stop it. This 15sec inductionwould be more than long enough to fix this issue.

    Fire mitigation debuffs

The amount of -% fire mitigation a group can stack up is way too much giving such a huge boost to fire damage that it is becomes the best damage type by a huge margin. How about cutting these debuffs in half? Groups still gain a benefit from each other but not so much that it completely outshines all other damage types.

    Finesse and partials

Could you change finesse to work on partial avoidances? This would be a huge step in the right direction for melee classes.

The problem with this is that it isn't just the bosses people swap traits for. For example there are 10 seperate trash pulls leading up to the first boss in the new raid, and of these 10 there are only a few where a second tank is needed. As such many groups will run with a cappy off-tank for those trash mobs so that they can have a 2nd red cappy for the rest of the trash. What you propose is that said cappy would have to leave the instance at least a half dozen times just to even get to the first boss. And yes there are flags but if you are on a pull before the last checkpoint before a flag you will have to run a fair bit to get back. So unless they introduced even more flags this will end up being an absolute nightmare.

I'd completed trash with diffrent raid setups: guard/red captain, guard/yellow captain, guard/0 captains. What can I say - if you have good raid setup, you can't win more than 10-15 minutes for whole trash fights with red captain instead of yellow. Boring but not so big payment.

I also like an idea with 15 (better 20) sec induction of build swapping.

Maestro is not a LOTRO or SSG program.

Pretty sure they just did, by changing it.

Has anyone caught the new fish in this Beta? If yes, can you show us the image, link, or cook recipe (if available) of the fish.

    Thank you.

When might Bullroar go up again? I watched a review video of U22 and would love to at least "walk the paths of Mirkwood" (Thanks Bilbo)

    Trait switching

Quite often I want to switch between trait trees to check settings between (say) DPS and Healing, in order to see the potential effect of cross traiting. Having a 1 min cooldown between switches would make such actions ridiculously hard to do.
Sometimes I accidentally select the wrong trait tree when I'm switching, again a 1 min cooldown will be a major pain to the whole raid/fellowship if we then have to wait such a long time to correct an error.
Why not just wipe skill buffs when traits are changed and leave the switching time as it is?
