Question to "Upcoming Change To Class Trainers And Deed Tomes"

Our next game update will include a change to Class Trainers to remove the ability to purchase Deed Tomes from them. These tomes were originally added to these trainers for gold to assist players who had redeemed an Aria of the Valar during a time frame in 2017 before we added these Class Trait Point Deed Tomes to the Aria of the Valar. If you purchased an Aria of the Valar during this time frame prior to us adding the Deed Tomes to the package, make sure to purchase your Deed Tomes now.
What does this mean exactly ?

What if i have a char on level 60 with a Arie of Valar to 105 and i use it after the update ? I dont get the classpoints then from the scrolls, ok. But how do i get them then ?

And what reason is it to remove the deed scrolls from the NPCs ?

I take it to mean they are adding the points to the Aria of the Valors after the update. So if you bought your Aria of the Valor BEFORE the update you need to purchase the tombs from the trainer and use them. After the update there will be no need to buy them anymore.

The Deed Tomes available through this NPC have been packaged into all Arias of the Valar since Update 21.2 in September of 2017. The deeds are delivered through an item that appears in your inventory when you use the Aria of the Valar Package.

Could they not just be added to existing unused old valars as they are removed from the trainers? You'll have people who purchased the valar one way or another some time ago wondering if it applies to them. Is there anything to denote which valar is and isn't applicable in a player's pack or underneath for an engineer?

I received an Aria of Valar Package when I bought the Mordor Expansion Collector's Edition at launch.

I first opened that package 3 days ago, and it did contain the class deeds, Rohan Quests, and Gondor Quests tomes (plus 10 other things including the Aria of Valar item that actually raises your level). Apparently they did add the tomes to the existing unopened packages.

This suggests that the only people who need to get the tomes are those who opened the Aria of Valar Package before the tomes were added to the package. If you opened it back then and only got 10 items and put them in your vault, you should get the tomes from the trainer. If you have an intact Aria of Valar Package, you shoudn't need to get them.

I too got the Aria of Valar when I bought the Mordor Expansion Collector's Edition at launch. Haven't opened it yet, it has just been lying around. What you are saying sounds like good news to me.

What about people who opened it and are not currently playing? Forever screwed because they opened it right away?

They should just run query, find all valared chars, apply deeds. Job done.

Not sure if a good idea as that would make it so some can not play certain chapters of certain epic books. They come with a warning text about that I think I have read. Som might prefer to play that chapter manually for the story or whatever. Only some of the Tomes applied does not remopve the possibility to play some content, others do.

I agree that I don't see why they have to remove these Tomes ??? Imagine someone being on a long break, or simply never visiting the forums, or not paying attention to the log-in messages, Many don't and plenty of times you see questions in-game that have been answered in here or the log-in screen but people don't see it. Only people who bought Valars can buy them anyway I think, so what's the harm in keeping them on the Vendors ???

They probably have run just such a query and found that most of the these characters have the deeds one way or another. I sure wouldn't want to apply deeds on inactive characters. Once they are made active, then they could apply the deeds to those who want to skip going through the content; but these characters should ask for it after being notified that they are eligible for a grant.

They could just send the tomes like a notification apon next logging on.

If I remember correctly, the deeds were added as an extra about a week after Mordor launch. The tomes were just added as a way to allow those that had already used their Aria of Valar before that time to get the added benefit. So you cant really complain about missing something that was added as an extra later... that said, there were plenty people didn't know about the tomes at the time and were happy to go along to the class trainers and buy the tomes. I would think the amount of people that have not used the tomes that could have used them will be very small.

I would be nice if they would allow those that bought a previous version of the Valars to buy a level appropriate Tome. Class Deed tome for the level 50 Valar, and Class Deed and Rohan Tome for level 95 Valar.

They could just leave the tomes to be bought from the trainers. Why are they removing them? They do not seem to be hurting anyone. Those who buy them just loose two silver in case they cannot use them (anymore).

But those who bought a valar package of the store or the Market (bundle with Mordor) may loose the deed points permanently if they miss them now.

Yup, that is exactly what will happen to some.

The removal of medium, might-based recipes (which, as we know, wasn't done without bugs) got me thinking that they probably have told someone to specifically start removing obsolete things from the game. There was no need to get them out of the recipe list really, because they were multi-output recipes to begin with. Then this deed tome removal was announced, and again, it's not a "must remove" thing, in my opinion either. If there really is someone going through all the now obsolete things in game, I wonder why they decided to start with these, instead of, e.g. the Might + Medium quest reward boxes that were implemented just for beornings, or the obsolete barter NPCs that have been in the game longer than I have.

Hmm, yes, didn't think of that. Ok, so run query, find valared characters and send deed tomes to inventory. It wouldn't even matter then if they send the tomes to people who have already used them, as they will not work twice.
