    Minas Tirith - Astroturf?

My character was in Minas Tirith After Battle and I wanted to jump to the 'Before Battle' version of MT so I used the free horse jump.

My character appeared inside the stables. I noticed some green stuff on the floor of the stables which I guess was supposed to be grass but looking upwards I saw that there is a roof on the stable so it couldn't be real grass as it wouldn't get any sun (and would soon get churned up into mud with horses walking on it) so I am guessing that the Defenders of Minas Tirith have invented astroturf.

Also, why is it that you need to be Kindred with the defenders of Minas Tirith to get the jump to Minas Tirith Before Battle BUT you only need to be Friend with the defenders of Minas Tirith to get the jump to Minas Tirith After Battle

Makes pefect sense. When are you more vigilant about who you allow to enter the city: before it is beseiged by an invading army, or after said army has been defeated?

As I recall you need no faction at all to get to Minas Tirith before battle - you just click on a horse standing near the gate.

Going to something that has already happened is manifestly easier than going to something that hasn't happened.

Clearly, the solution to this is... invisible walls. :P

In all seriousness, one of the items I am looking to add to my "when I have time" list of tasks is to review and update travel and clean up parts of it that don't make sense. I'll add this to my list to investigate (if I have time in between Vales of Anduin, Minas Morgul, and all the stuff we are thinking about for 2020).

I really appreciate all the times I see for example You and MoL pop in and add these little replies. Even when the reply says it will be some time before anything can be done about an issue, it is still very nice (I think anyway) to see interaction by the devs and it makes it feel more "alive" and not like the forums have been left to turn into Lord Of The Flies.

I think You, MoL, Cordovan and Vastin stand out in this aspect.

I wouldn’t mind having the quest lines in Helms Deep redone. You can miss stuff if you don’t get the quest lines done there in a certain order.

But I think both genders (indeed, all the genders we have) are capable of learning a minimal degree of courtesy, particularly online where it's so easily for an insult that was meant as a joke to be taken literally.

Nah, Radagast came by and sprinkled is very own mix of manure on it, which makes grass grow even in less ideal conditions, and makes it strong so the horses don't destroy it!

Does this include perhaps adding some additional swift travels in places like The Shire? PLEASE!?!?!?!?!?!?

Even if it requires adding two or three more layers of reputation in the Shire, I would love to have more swift travels in the Shire.

YES! There is currently no Swift Travel from anywhere to Hobbiton.

MD -> Hobbiton would be sweet!

This stuff between types of Helm's Deep, types of MT, types of Isengard was always complicated and don't works well. Just put icon where we can click on it and change between MT Before Battle/MT After Battle, Osgiliath Before Battle/Osgiliath After Battle or normal Isengard/Flooded Isengard

I am feeling sad that the forum mods have removed multiple posts, but not actually said anything to me or the other posters effected.

Posts removed ??? I haven't noticed any really rude posts lately, so I have no idea what posts You are refering to ??? Maybe I just missed them ???

In any case I think it works the way that if they remove a rude comment/posts, then anyone having quoted that comment/post in their replies will also by default be removed. So that anything related to that origial rude post/comment. So even if a comment/post by You was removed does not mean Your comment/post per se was bad, just that it involved the bad post in it's quote. At least I think that is how it works.

About half this thread is missing, from the original post #2 onwards.

Oh I haven't noticed. I don't remember how many posts there were or what they said.

Edit: Oh I think I know which ones You talk about. Well in a way they could be seen as insulting I guess even if meant in a jokingly way. Unless I'm totally off track and remember wrong. If it's the comments I think, I can understand why they were removed to avoid further continuation in that style of "humour". To simply put an end to it and keep the thread on track. Again I think anyone having quoted anyone in that exchange automtically had their post removed due to how it works. Not a big issue as it was nothing controversial really that SSG have any reason to try and "hide" or anything. Just some comments that could be seen as a bit out of place and be insulting to someone maybe. No cover-ups. No Conspiracy theories from me on that one, he he he !!!
