Anyone have trouble getting custom skins to show up on the 64-bit client?

I have two machines (with different graphics cards that have both been updated with new drivers and rolled back for testing) that both run great with the default skin on 64-bit, but can't run any downloaded/custom skins (textures become grey with grid lines) unless I switch back to the 32-bit client.

Any ideas?
