    Frill Terrain color returning?

Back in Last December U23.1.7 added advance Graphic option called "Frill Terrain color" this was removed in U23.1.8 cause it has issues with coloring, but when it did work i like it very much, it make the landscape look better In my opinion and wondering is this going to be added again soon and fixed? its been awhile and was wondering, as improvements to graphics is always nice.

Yes, I remember that. It was cool! I would like to see the feature return! But I didn't work really good.

I'm not clear on how this feature was supposed to work?

This graphics option was to apply terrain color to frills to better blend them to the underlying terrain.

We loved the idea, but it had a bad habit of loading the frills before loading the far terrain coloring, which is why you'd get the broken frills.

It's certainly something we are interested in bringing back to discussion with our engineering team once we've gotten some higher priority engineering initiatives taken care of. No ETA on when or if it will happen though.

Why don't you just go manually to change frills to fit into train color? It is obvious to find them out and it doesn't take much time. For example Green frills over snowy areas or the neon green frills over Iron hills with more red dusty frills and the brown frills which doesn't fit with the black terrain of angmar?
REMOVE Rohan Kingstead Homestead from the open world map it ruins the immersion and a shame for the ART.

Thanks for confirming this, hopefully it works out sometimes.

Why not just make the opacity of the frills a function of distance?

    Would that be too resource-intensive?

I proposed the idea before but there was no comment.

Edit: I'm assuming the point of the frill terrain color option is to make the "popping into view" of frills less jarring. If their opacity gradually increases as you approach them, instead of "popping" from 0% to 100% opacity, this achieves the goal, maybe more effectively.
