LOTRO Worlds down today?

All worlds are down, but there is nothing on the preloader to say why and till when, and nothing under Announcements on the site. What's going on?

I was logged in and they went down at 8:00 EST like it was a normal maintenance day, but there were no messages in the chats that I saw. Maybe the servers ran out for some TP real quick at the grocery store...

I saw the usual World Broadcast messages on my server. It's just server restarts, will be up shortly.

By the way, should any SSG member read this, not sure if it's just my browser but Lotro Points page in Lotro Market is blank.

Like the last Beacon, they prolly just forgot to post the restart info on the login box. They are good at forgetting things.

There is always a brief period where the servers will show as online but closed. This is so QA can run a few tests to assure stability before we open them to players.

Agreed with this 100%. I understand the need for maintenance, but yeah, this would be nice.

What is the launcher-windows for, beside of advertisement? Informations for players? Please post downtime infos there!

That is good and makes sense - I'd be curious as to what you'd define 'brief period' as?

I'll just presume that means the same as when Sapience said 'SOON'!
