So once in the public domain SSG are off the hook? How much relish was in that CenturyLink mention?
If you are telling me that SSG stability issues of the last month were not anything to do with their ISP link me the SSG statement on it please.
Level3 were trying to connect me to gls.lotro.com via San Jose today so I didn't need to try logging into the game, I live in Europe btw. It was a level3/CenturyLink issue to me before Cloudflare's status page was looking at a transit provider. Lotro twitter had the multi-game effected tweet early on too. CenturyLink is a third party in more than one form to SSG.
Just as my ISP VirginMedia are owned by the company who provide the backbone transit aorta so SSG's ISP and Level3 backbone are owned by CenturyLink.
After I started this reply I figured I try to find some details from CenturyLink but only found cloudflare's assessment

It's not my field but I can't help wondering if our little problems this month just got a wider airing today.
Anyone noticed that since the last patch which were:
* Property Guards will no longer attack cosmetic pet housing decorations.
* The Badges of Taste/Badges of Dishonour barter for Boxes of Festival Tokens has been restored to the previous barter cost of 2 badges to receive 1 box.
* The festival quest "Fireworks for the Festival" from Robert Greenverge at the Bree-land Festival Grounds now properly counts as a Farmer's Faire quest.
* The primary Farmers Faire festival rewards vendor has been given her proper name and title: Caltha Tunnelly, Festival Announcer & Rewards Vendor.
Not exactly the most game breaking of items needing correction, also happened to correspond with the last time we had the server wide latency issues?
Crazy huh? What a coincidence that issues beyond their control resolved themselves at the same time as a patch!
And I thought Cord's communication plan (eyeroll) was to communicate when things changed? Haven't seen the communication around this change. Maybe I missed it, apologies if I did.
It would be, but I'm more worried that they still haven't balanced the current raid, or added much loot to a double festival, and it feels like the devs themselves never succeeded on a Thrang T2 run on their own natural unboosted chars without help, yet thought it would be nice to give paying customers a limited time to beat a fight that easily 99% of LOTRO can't clear.
T1 has dropped 1 pocket item for 1 person out of the 10 times I've successfully done this. What is going on here? Was the QA team fired around the time this game stopped having phone support too?
Thrang is extremely disappointing this year, insulting even.
Just curious..... Why are you able to immediately inform us as to where the issues with this particular problem lie, while with the ongoing problems for many weeks it remains "issues beyond our control"?
At least we can rule out THOSE issues having anything to do with Centurylink, otherwise you would have told us, right?![]()
Moved from Riddermark to Arkenstone on 9/29/2015!
