Hello all! March just flew right by! That means that it is time for us to do another Casual Stroll through Middle-earth! Like the last one, I would love your help in deciding where we go! For our first stream, we took a walk through Wildwood. And in the second, you all voted for Angmar! This time, we'll be continuing our trek through Eriador - with the location determined by you all!

What is this stream?
It's a leisurely behind-the-scenes stroll through a section of Middle-earth wherein I'll talk about the area we are in, the design process behind it (and in general), and muse about what it takes to make landscape. As with every stream in this series, this is a World-design focused stream. I won't be answering questions related to topics outside of my area of influence.

I'd pick a high pop server at peak time doing some missions to show the playability of these spaces under our normal load.

We need Forochel - a place based on Finland, which inspired Tolkien early on in his legend building. The Finnish epic called the Kalevala (the story of Kullervo) is the basis of the Legend of Hurin.

It would be great to finally get the definitive gen on the everlasting Forochel Fog mystery. Not sure I'd have so much appreciation of colleagues who'd specifically choose the option that would include a bug that has the potential to spoil a largely visuals only stream though. Perhaps the triggers, whatever they are, aren't in place on dev server?

When you get to RIvendell. ( I have questions ) ;)
So, something has always been a question for me, perhaps I missed something.
When you are doing the riddle game with Bilbo, and finally get sent to Celebrian's secret place in the mountain, ( where you find Celebrian's legacy )
The broken cave passage where the gem is ( and 6 crawlers ) there is a dead troll on the cave floor.
This is a secret passage room. There is a hole in the ceiling, true.. but no other passages I can see.
How did the troll get in... how did he die?
My inquisitive mind wants to know...
My guesses vary each trip into the secret room ( which I love by the way )
Did the troll fall in, from the ceiling? Those crawlers were too much for him and done him in? hehehe.
