Yesterday, as I documented in the screenshot, I used a 2000-point relic, but ended up at only 1000/1405 for my alliegance progress.
Today, after doing some missions, I levelled to 131 (hold your applause, thank you), upon which time the Zhélruka 5-mission daily instantly became available (it wasn't before I levelled). That is odd, in and of itself.
Finishing that daily, I used another 2000-point relic. Now, my allegiance progress shows 1095/1395. So, arithmetically, a 2000-point relic only added 95 points to what I had yesterday, but at the same time the absolute number of points to attain allegiance level 2 declined from 1405 to 1395. Is that because I levelled? Higher character level means easier to progress allegiances? I'm not sure I understand that logic.
I'll also note in passing that on the tooltip, the spelling of the preserved relic's name is "Preserved Relic Gundabad". The word "of" is missing, even though it is present for "Pristine Relic of Gundabad" and "Relic of Gundabad". Thus, the naming is inconsistent, and frankly, jarring. Not a major issue compared to the arithmetical anomalies, however...
So, to recap:
Day 1: using a 2000-point relic put me at 1000/1405
Day 2: using another 2000-point relic, along with levelling to 131, put me at 1095/1395
Very odd...
