Yet Another Lottery Suggestion

I'd like to be able to see the (potential) prizes for lotteries that I have already entered. Either visible with a mouseover, or perhaps a static list or forum post somewhere would be nice.

I agree, especially with the lotteries that last a short amount of time. I'll admit I tend to enter first and ask questions later.

This is the first time the former EU servers have had access to the lottery. Each lottery lists what the prizes are while it's running. You can always see what you might win by entering. Virtually every thing in the game data base is in or will be in the lotteries eventually. The newest content is always added, but not immediately. Usually we wait several weeks before adding it.

I have entered the current lotteries, but how can I see what to win?
I could see before I entered them, but not anymore.
I can't select the title or anything.

You are supposed to revise what the prizes are and decide if you want to compete with others on the prizes before entering, not after, so there's little purpose in checking the prize list after you've already entered.

The lotteries work by picking a pre-determined X number of winners out of the total Y number of entries. The more people who enter a particular lottery, the less chance there is for any individual entry to win. It's considered courtesy to not enter lotteries with prizes that you can't use.

I disagree. I have no desire to change entries, I'd only like to see what it is that I entered for. With RL a wee bit hectic, I can easily forget whatever the particular lotto is for unless I had written it down. /shrug.

Yeah, especially since the titles aren't all that self-explanatory. And when multiple items are given away I might remember what one is, but not the other.

Currently, the lottery window shows a detailed in the "Enter Lotteries" window, at the top, but does not list details in the "Current Entries" or "Recent Winning Entries" at the bottom. I guess the windows would be crowded if every detail was listed, but as the OP said, you no longer know what in a lotto once you've entered with all applicable characters.

Also, a lot of the items don't seem to be in the lorebook anymore. I could have sworn I saw barrowbree before, when there was a lotto for it months ago, but now it links to http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Speci...?id=1879093405 which seems to go no wheres.

First, I would agree with the crowd: It would be nice to see what was in the lottery after I submitted my characters for participation.

Second, any chance of getting rid of the autoconsume on some of the items? Personally, I would prefer that nothing gets autoconsumed, but I know, that will not be possible (Skirmish Marks, Horses etc.), but the Stat Tomes, for example... I would like to be able to trade them, either to my other chars or to other players, if I cannot really use them for good. Same thing with the Dread Removal, it seems to get launched as soon as you take it out of your mailbox. Does not make much sense, I think.

This is not a lotto thing. The items are set to work this way by development. The only possibilities:

1) Not put auto consumes in the lotto.

2) Swap an auto consume with non-auto consume. Sapience can only make this change if there is an alternate item available.

There are two kinds of stat tomes. Store bought which I believe are auto consume and account bound. Loot drop which can not traded, sold and I believe are not auto consume. The loot ones sell for huge gobs of silver.

I seem to recall some sour grapes about the stat tomes because some of them were tier 5s. The winner had to buy tier 1 - 4 from the store before they could use their lotto tome.

Yeah, I myself got a tier 3, so I could sell it, because the auto-consume did not fire.
But kinship fellows of mine got tier 1 tomes and consumed them directly, although the actual character did not really need the specific stat.

Sure, gifted horse and so, but the possibility to trade them, or at least give them to other characters on the same account, would be nice.

There have been many times where I've wished I could look back and see what I had entered to win, but after entering, you can't see it.
