The problem, here, is that you and your kinship never made the move to take advantage of a variety of "out-of-game" communication services - Website, Forums, Facebook, etc.
If you had done this... like many other kinships have (ours has a website, facebook group, and Teamspeak)... you would be in a better position to deal with situations like this.

As others have said... Turbine has forewarned everyone that this event is coming at some point in the future. You, now, have ample opportunity to talk things through with your friends/kinship and decide where you will move together. Heck, you don't even know if you will be having to move... since Turbine hasn't even really told us which servers may be chopped/merged. So, again, you are way overdoing the alarmist tone...
