Wow, the defiler sounds better than my LM, in all seriousness.
Lucky.. Freeping in the moors is boring anyway, creeps are the way to go.
QUOTE=Armedeus You are not a team power supply.

It is close tot his on firefoot as well. Almost alwasy lots of creeps. And they usually come out of nowhere. A typical evening would involve 2 large creep raids vs 1 organized freep raid plus small roaming groups. Not terrible but usually frustrating. I think the defiler will only exacerbate the problem for our server.

I seriously hope they rethink the Sticky Feet Curse. 10% slow is a joke, and not even being able to keep the snare up is just kind of silly. As a caster class, kiting is extremely important in 1 v 1 fights. Yes the defiler can heal himself, but if he can't get his attack gourds off because he's always getting interrupted/you must face targetted b/c he can't kite, it'll be useless without a group/raid behind it
Unless strength is a new statCurse of the Deadly Sorrows: "Douse opponent with corrosive liquid that weakens their armour and releases a soporific gas that reduces Will, Fate and Strength." This is a medium-cost poison-based curse reducing the target's fate, will, strength, and armor by a crippling amount. It has a three-second casting time and a thirty-second cooldown and is available at Rank Seven.I think this is a typo. It should be might.

How is a ten-second cooldown , a long coooll down? this is a real question.Fell Restoration: "When finished casting Fell Restoration instantly restores a huge amount of morale to target." This is a low-cost three second cast heal with a long ten-second cooldown healing a great deal of health instantly. This becomes available at Rank Three.
My loremaster has a 30 secound cd for beacon of hope and a 20s with light of hope traited.LOL. I think 30 or even 20s is a long cd. 10 is a med or even short cd IMHO. If the devs think 10 secounds is a lond cool down PLEASE give loremasters a long cooldown for his heal like defilers![]()

I see this as killing the moors on my server. If there are 3 WL in a Creep raid it is almost inpossible to kill a sig Creep. Now it will never happan. Also the armour rend is just too much, I heard -2000 thats all my GRD has. Now I will be useless even more so then before.

LMFAO! Total BS.... You freeps want to continue with the easy mode. It is okay. I understand you like to win like playing Atari and all, but come on...
Our server, Firefoot, is usually overrun by freep zergs. It has gotten slightly better lately because we actually win sometimes. The way Pessot is talking is like he is whack on crack! Maybe he is related to Whitney... It is only frustrating when they have to come out of the Delving to kill off creeps because we took a keep and they can't get back in. The defiler just gives us the dedicated healer that we always should have had.
Oh yeah, the damn defiler has barely been out a day (not even live yet) and people are crying. What are you freeps going to do when Turbine totally revamps pvmp and makes it even across both lines? Go play AoC? Warhammer? Cry some more? Can't understand why anyone would want a easy button except for an 8 year old. All creeps have ever asked for is a level playing field and we are heading in that direction. Sorry if you freepies don't want it, but it is coming anyway.

id say the board is even, especially now. the only thing that throws it out of whack is ridiculous numbers on either side.

Yay Defiler! I fit the profile of weak and totally useless in combat in the 'Moors--now I can at least fire of a HoT before I get slaughtered!![]()

*Sigh*
The feedback above just shows why Turbine should have stuck with their promise and not put in PvP.
I enjoy PvMP a little bit, but the endless bickering just makes me wish we didn't have it.
On Elendilmir, our map almost is never all blue or all red. It keeps switching back and forth. Though playing as a freep champ is annoying a little bit, but I can see why creeps could complain as well. We both have different advantages over each other, thus making balance (though I think that a freep's should have a slight advantage due to the fact it takes much longer to create one).
I want PvMP to be a challenge, or else it just isn't fun. The Defilers will make my job harder, but not impossible.
And what do I say to these defilers? Bring it on.![]()

uh... Except every other day when I wake up.It was all red last night when I went to bed (we got sick of the blue map and rolled two trolls), and it was all blue this morning when I woke up (that probably happened after V went to bed
). But since B12, I'd say it's been 3/5 blue at least 75% of the time, and very frequently 4/5 blue.
But more generally yeah, we do have more balance on Elendilmir than some other servers. But if we didn't have the intense coordination and leadership of people like V, Moof, Anca, Twoeyes, Mac, Hell, etc, it would be 5/5 blue 95% of the time, especially since Book 12.
Here's hoping the Defiler levels the field that much more.![]()

Can someone point me to Orion's post that Creeps are designed to be weaker than Freeps and that they should make up with numbers?
For some strange reason I can't find it anymore...
Wer Böhses säht wird Onkelz ernten.
I think the freeps should start in the moors the same way the creeps do. You should have none of the abilities and attributes that you have gained in the rest of middle earth. The skills you can use should come from questing in the moors and spending DP. That way a rank 2 LM would be just as useless as a rank 2 weaver. Its the only way to make it fair.
The problem is then you have basically rendered PvMP in LOTRO nothing more than a glorified side-game, no different at all than, say, chicken play. And what would it mean to have a level 50 "moors" LM who had, say, 2 or 3 skills?
It just doesn't make sense. If you are going to say that in PvMP freeps need to start out from scratch with a new character rather than their PvE character, then I say re-do the freep classes in the moors so that they are totally different from the freep classes in PvE. No burglers, no captains, no champions, no guardians, no hunters, no lore-masters, no minstrels. Make 4 or 5 totally new PvP freep classes, designed from the ground up with PvP in mind. It's the only way I could see your suggestion working.
Because otherwise, if someone has spent 3 months (or 6 months or whatever) working on their character, leveling him up to 50, gaining his gear, his skills, etc....do you seriously think anyone would want to take their character to the moors and suddenly have to PvP being stripped of nearly all their skills, stripped of all their gear, etc? I just don't see it happening.
Á auta mornië! i cala tula lennar! ("Flee, darkness! The light comes upon you!")
Is it just me, or does the Defiler have only 4 starting skills, while all the other classes have 5?
No, they start with 5. That includes stealth.
